I was delighted to find I could see into the elephant enclosure in Copenhagen Zoo from one corner of the park. As I looked on, a baby elephant and its mother appeared and went down to the pool to drink. The baby lost its footing and fell in. What then unfurled was a scene that transcends species - a baby in distress; a mother's panic and a family rushing to help. A privilege to witness."
