This capsicum kairas recipe is made in Karnataka and Maharashtra. This is made usually in Brahmin homes for festivals as it does not contain onion or garlic. Apart from that it is also made at other times as accompaniment for chapati or bhakri as it is very tasty as well as nutritious.

oil - 1 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
chana dal - 1/2 tsp
urad dal - 1/2 tsp
hing - 1/4 tsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
water - 1 cup or as per consistency needed.
jaggery - 1 tbsp
salt - 1 tsp
red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
goda or garam masala - 1/2 tsp
grated coconut - 1/4 cup
