So it's time to talk once again about the Essential Phone

Many of you remember I brought you one of the earliest unboxing videos of the Essential Phone when it came out

Back then, it only came in two variations. A black Essential Phone and a white Essential Phone

Even though they were showing off some new cool colors at the time

But those colors weren't available. Now they are, or at least very soon

Go on sale on the 22nd. But they're going to be launched as a limited edition

So I'm being told by Essential, they're gonna sell out. If you want one of these colors, you kind of got to move quickly

I have all three of the new colors here. The names of them, Stellar Gray, Ocean Depths, and then this last one, Hopper Black

Now you're probably going to notice at this point that there's three Essential phones here

This is the first of the three new color variations and ooh, I kind of like it already

They didn't just slap a color onto the back panel got this copper tone to it

It looks mostly black when you look at it directly But as you kind of shift it around you can start to see some of the copper shine through

We get that same location up top for the accessories including the 360 camera fingerprint scanner over here

And of course don forget the almost bezel design on the front of the device with the tiniest little cutout or the forward camera Your power brick the cool braided cable

This right here was one of the more interesting developments in smartphones in the past year

It was a new startup. There's the origin story with the connection to the original Android software and the founder

and of course the stock Android experience. Because of that, this phone was worth paying attention to

So this guy here, ooh, that's quite a bit different. My goodness, that's kind of a luxurious color

Outside is a similar color to the copper on this guy. This turquoise ocean depth look to the back of it

slightly more matte and less reflective than the other device. So I can see a benefit there just from a fingerprint perspective as well

It's still shiny. Now the nice thing here is some attention to detail around the fingerprint scanner

It carries that same copper color that you have on the outside of the device

Last but not least, we have Stellar Grey. I kinda like that

Oh, this is a matte device. Oh baby, look at how slick that looks

Now when you combine the fact that there's no branding, that Essential has gone against the trend of various branding points that makes that

seem even more slick with the matte finish no brand also not polished a slightly more matte finish so even that not going to really pick up fingerprints Ooh this is the one guys That was one of my major pieces of feedback on the original

The reflectiveness, the shininess, and then the subsequent fingerprint buildup. Could put a skin on it

You could put a case on it. Some of those aluminum body phones aren't necessarily even when they're matte

There you have it. That's the three new colors there. And of course, as you know, there's the original pure white, black moon, and then now these three

And they call it gray, but in all honesty, it's pretty close to black as well

It just looks so clean. I didn't expect to find one of these and have it really change my opinion so much on the device as a whole
