Welcome back. In this video we'll see how to get a live data from a website into Power BI
0:06
And then we can create charts, reports from this particular live data. Let us see that
0:10
So I have opened one website named as MoneyControl.com, very famous website in India
0:15
So here it displays the mutual funds, share market, some different prices it gives the live data
0:21
Let me show you the data here. Okay, we have small, small tables created everywhere
0:26
Okay, so let me pick up any one table from here. Let's say these are top losers
0:30
we have Yes Bank, Indus Bank, UPL, Reliance and so on. So I want to create a chart for this particular data into my PowerBi
0:38
And whenever the data on this website changes, it should automatically change into PowerBay reports
0:43
Let us see practically. So remember any few names, Yes, Bank, Indus Bank and so on
0:47
So I'll just copy the URL from here and then I can come to PowerBi
0:52
Get data, click on this web option, get data web, and I can paste the URL here
0:57
and I'll paste the URL. Just click on okay. Now depending upon your internet speed and the connection, your system configuration, the time would be varying
1:07
So it will take some few seconds to load the tables from that website into this box here
1:14
Okay. From here you can filter the tables, filter the data you want, and you can create visuals
1:19
Let us see that. So I'll wait for a few seconds till it is loaded back. Yes
1:26
So now you can see there are different tables which are loaded into my power beer
1:30
Now I can just keep on selecting the tables and pick up whichever I want. So I think I don't want this table
1:36
I will pick up this one. No. So I'll, yeah. So let's see table here, Indus Bank, Yes Bank, Relance and SBI
1:43
So suppose if I want this table, maybe it is not the same one, but you can search for that table
1:47
Now if you see the column headings are very good company, price, change and value, I can select that table
1:52
And I can just click on load button here. So load button and I can create a chart for this particular data into Power BI Okay let see PowerBia here So let prepare a simple stacked column chart or stacked bar chart maybe
2:05
So here I can just click on. You see one more table would be loaded very soon
2:11
Yeah, so it is taking some time. Now the beauty of this one is it's a live data
2:16
Okay, whenever the data on the website will change, here it will automatically change
2:22
Yes. So you can see that's a table too which is. loaded here. Now I can click outside, select the stacked bar chart. From this table two, I'll
2:29
pick up some values and some category. Let's say the company is given and the price is given
2:33
here. Okay. Now I can just resize it properly so you can see. Yes. And I'll just bring
2:44
it on the top. Yeah. And also I'll just go back quickly and just change the size from this
2:50
drop down, customize current team. From here I can modify. the text size, gentle and I'll make it as 20, and click on Apply and save
3:03
So you can see the top losers or the top gaining from this place is for the Reliance
3:07
one which is the highest one. Okay, if I want to have a label, click on this place, select the chart from here, select
3:15
the label and I can select the option from here as detail labels or data labels
3:19
So you can see what is the price here, 1529. The field which I'm using here is
3:24
That is the price. So what are the different companies? So Reliance is having the highest price
3:29
Okay, that's the highest price. Second highest price is for the Indus Bank and the lowest one is for the Yes Bank
3:34
Okay. Now the same story again, anything changes on the website. Here, the data will be automatically refreshed
3:40
So if you are on the desktop, you have to manually refresh by clicking on this refresh button
3:45
But if you are connected to a PowerBias service account, online account, the data will be automatically refresh
3:51
which you'll be seeing in the last section of this particular series here. But however, I hope you have understood how to get a live data from the website
3:58
That's all for this video
