Five V's in Big Data

In this video we are discussing 5 Vs in Big Data and they are nothing but volume, variety

velocity, value and validity or veracity. So we'll be discussing all these 5 Vs in our

big data into more details. The 5 Vs in big data are divided into two parts. The first

part is consisting of three fundamental Vs that is the volume, variety and velocity

And two additional views are there, that is our value and validity

So validity can also be known as a veracity. So now let us discuss each one of them one by one

The volume is actually refers to a huge amount of data that is being produced by different

companies and institutes each and every day at each and every moment

And this data is getting generated for different files, for transactions, records and so on

one, let us go for the variety. So variety refers the different types of data like our structured

data, unstructured data, semi-structured data, and so on, and the measured amount of data

are unstructured nowadays. Now let us go for the velocity. So it is used to measure the speed

of generating data and also yzing of the data And the speed in which the data is getting generated is a huge one and the enormous one And it is being produced due to the different real processing batch processing and for different streams

Next one, we're going for the value. The added values of companies or institutions are denoted by the values

and some of the companies have designed their own data platforms to reduce the costs and store values

values into their platforms. The values can be the different statistical inferences for different

hypothetical ysis, finding out the correlations and regressions between the values and so on

And the next one and the last one is the validity. The validity or the veracity is the authenticity

and credibility of data. In big data, we can work on all degrees of equality and quality

That means the validity or the veracity is actually dealing with the authenticity and credibility of the data

And in our big data, we are trying to deal with the huge and high degrees of quality

And that is known as the validity. So validity is actually concerning your trustworthiness, authenticity, availability, accountability, and so on

So these are the five Vs in big data. So they are volume, variety, velocity
