FSB CRACKDOWN: 'Retrieve the Object and Install It,' Suspect Reveals St. Petersburg Bomb Plot
Jul 23, 2026
Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said it detained a 21-year-old Russian citizen in St. Petersburg who was allegedly recruited by Ukrainian intelligence services and was carrying an improvised explosive device disguised as a GPS tracker. According to the FSB, the suspect had gathered information on employees of Russia's defense industry and retrieved a bomb from a hidden cache that was intended to be planted beneath the car of a defense-sector worker. Video released by Russian authorities showed the suspect claiming he had been in contact with Ukrainian special services since December 2025 and had acted for financial gain. Ukraine has not commented on the allegations. #russia, #ukraine, #fsb, #stpetersburg, #bombplot, #ukrainewar, #russiaukrainewar, #sabotage, #espionage, #breakingnews, #carbomb, #defenseindustry, #ukrainianintelligence, #russiansecurity, #metro, #geopolitics, #worldnews, #russiaupdate, #securityalert, #confessionvideo In this Times Now World News report, we break down the this topic: Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: Read full coverage: https://www.timesnownews.com/world Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/timesnow.world Follow us on X: https://x.com/TimesNow_World #timesnowworld #worldnews #breakingnews
