All right, let's talk about some draft classes
0:02
I mean, we all have our favorites, and when you look at the different draft classes overall
0:07
not just their first round picks, who was your favorite draft class overall of the 32 teams
0:15
I have a few, actually quite a few. I'm really a big fan of what, you know, Utah did
0:22
you know, getting Teej again on cold bowled, went to different forwards with different play styles
0:25
but, you know, players that they needed upfront. And, you know, we knew Teej was gonna be
0:30
in that top six or seven range anyway, so somebody was gonna take him, and I'm glad Utah did
0:35
Cold bowled went, hard worker, kind of fits that, you know, tall, you know
0:39
physical being up front as opposed to on defense right now, because we know how much size they have on the back end
0:44
I thought that was a really good add up front. But Thomas O'Voie and VD Vison
0:49
and I thought were good third round selections as well. Owen Lillard was a good, you know, late round pick
0:55
to, you know, give a chance on an overager. I thought Utah really did a really good job
1:01
in that draft class, but we want to talk about like, you know, finding talent in the later rounds
1:06
To me, I think an A or even close to an A plus goes to the Carolina Hurricanes
1:10
I mean, Dominic Padinka and Nikita Artamanov, I know he's kind of fallen into the second round
1:15
but that's great value at the 50th overall. Padinka, I was high on him being a first rounder
1:21
but even after that, Noel Franson, Oscar Vuale, Justin Poirier, they're betting on a lot of upside
1:26
with those picks. And we know that, you know, Carolina tends to go
1:32
for those players that have those high upside that don't show it now
1:35
but the potential is very much there. And, you know, we're seeing that with some of those picks
1:41
and I'm a big fan of some of those players that, you know, probably should have been a little bit higher up
1:45
or if I'm a team, I'm like, I got to take this guy right here. I would take Noel Franson. Yeah
1:49
A little bit higher up, I had him as a second rounder, but you know what? Getting him in the third round, still good value
1:54
Oscar Vuale was one player that I was really high on in the second half
1:58
Great pickup right there. So yeah, I think those are some of the two
2:03
that really stood out for me in terms of like having a good draft. Obviously the easy answer was going to be San Jose. Yeah
2:09
They get an A plus anyways, but aside from San Jose, I think those are my other top two
2:14
in terms of favorite drafts
