Whiskey Fest Destin A Toast To The Inaugural Event

Welcome back first timers. We're back out in Destin, Florida, but this time we're at

Whiskey Fest Destin. It's an annual event held at the Manny Kelly Arts Foundation. Let's go check it out

Matt and Kelly Arts Foundation has been around for 25 years out here in Destin

They're part of the Northwest Florida State College System. They also put on Broadway shows, musicals, symphonies, and outdoor events like this

They have concerts in the park, an arts festival, wine dinners. They even have an outreach program for children, adults with special needs, and the military

Whiskey Fest Destin is a two-day event. This year it's being held at the end of June. They've got food

They've got whiskey tastings. They also have a bunch of bands, and headlining this weekend is Jefferson Starship and a Kenny Chesney cover band called Pirate Flag

which is a Kenny Chesney-approved cover band. And also playing tomorrow night, which is Saturday, is Drew Pendleton. He's one of my favorites

For general admission, you can bring your own lawn chairs, but VIP, they've got chairs set up for you

and if you buy a VIP table, you've got table and chairs. With VIP, you get free whiskey tasting

All right, I'm here with Billy, the CEO of Destin FM, and he's going to tell us a little bit about himself and the radio station

This thing is awesome. There's a lot of people out here. There's all these food trucks. And coming up is Jefferson Starship in a little while which is cool But we just partnered with this incredible company Emerald Coast Entertainment who we love I Billy Cerf I from Destin FM I was an iHeart guy for 100 years and Clear Channel all those stations And when I got to Destin I realized

there was no radio station, so we signed this one on, and the response has been really overwhelming

that. We are app-based. We're Internet-based. Again, I was from, like, old-school radio with

the tower and stuff, you know what I'm saying? Those are all my friends, so I can't say anything negative about old school radio

because it's awesome and I loved it forever. But today, let's be honest, everything's in your pocket in your car

So that's what we're doing is we're doing it that way. And, again, we're just so blessed to have so many people that have been listening to us and love us

Smoky, tender, delicious. I've never had a whiskey flight this extensive and it's included in the VIP

We're going to give them a little taste. We'll let you know what we think. All right, here we go

Mmm that light sweet don know what we drinking but that pretty tasty Whiskey It was hot

You're not gonna like that one. Oh boy. I don't think I like whiskey

There is a lot of whiskey and a lot of flavors going on right now

It's not much bad. It's just real strong. I'm already getting the sweats

If you want to try a wide variety of whiskeys, flavors

proofs, come out here. But man, be prepared because they pour those samples pretty strong

And it's hot. I'm already sweating. I think we're going to probably put the whiskey down for a little bit

Those are some premium grade A restrooms. Air conditioned, clean, well stocked

If you need to use a restroom and you're in the Destin area, come out to the Maddie Kelly Center of the Arts

and check out the Whiskey Festival because they got the best bathrooms. Besides the bar in the VIP area and the VIP food

around the perimeter you have multiple bars and a bunch of food trucks
