So this is the mini Praxis that Civivi went ahead and sent to me, so I want to do a quick look at it
0:04
And so it comes in this plastic baggie, and inside there's going to be two things. We're going to have the box and this little instruction manual that shows us a little bit more about it
0:13
It actually shows us about the specifications. So in case you're curious about that, here's all the details of it
0:19
And this is going to be 2.9 inch blade. And so in here we're going to have this storage case, and that's everything that comes in the box
0:25
And so here's a look at the case. We got the logo Civivi over here with the big C
0:30
And right here is going to be the zipper. And there it is
0:35
So I really do like with Civivi, they always go ahead and just have everything neatly packed
0:40
And there's a lot of things that come in here. So for starters, we are going to get the knife with the signature Civivi sticker
0:47
We got this card over here. And on the back side, it says, love your new knife, share your experience
0:53
Here's going to be a quick warranty information guide. We're also going to have a microfiber cloth
0:58
and this is really really soft and we got the logo right there as well too. We're going to have
1:02
another booklet that shows a little bit more about their catalog and then finally the knife itself
1:07
So here's what the Civivi Mini Praxis looks like. It's got like a nice texture on this. It's like a
1:12
hard plastic but whenever I go ahead and feel it it feels like it's really gritty so I know I'm not
1:17
going to go ahead and actually drop this and then I'll go ahead and actually flip the blade up. All
1:21
I have to do is just put my finger up here and just pull up just like so and the blade is revealed
1:26
and this one's very thick very wide as you can see here and to go ahead and close it all i have to do
1:31
is just push against here and then the blade will go ahead and collapse and i can go ahead and push
1:37
it down to go ahead and um yeah put it away and it does have this belt clip and then here's a
1:44
further look at it now this i thought it was a button at first but this isn a button it just going to be the logo i know in other knives they do have this as a button so when you press it it I go ahead and open up but this is not the case with this knife over here so i have a bunch of different knives and one thing that i like to go ahead and make sure of is that it comfortable in my hand
2:01
so my other ones some of them can be a little bit smaller some of them a little bit too big
2:05
here's an example of another one i have and to open it up i just move my thumb here and with this one
2:11
this one's not going to have that portion over here which is fine just because i could easily go ahead
2:16
and open it up like that. And I do like it doesn't seem to go ahead. It does seem to go ahead and
2:20
swing pretty easily. And I have, I say average size hands and it does feel comfortably over here
2:28
Although I would do have to go ahead and position it correctly to go ahead and open it up with one hand. I can't open it up with my thumb. Yeah, I feel like I would just grab the clip and this part
2:37
doesn't feel too comfortable. So yeah, I would always have to go ahead and open it up with my index finger if I want to go ahead and flick it like that. All right, now comes an important part
2:44
which is actually testing this out. So here I have a cardboard box that I want to go ahead and cut up a little bit
2:48
and see how easy it is. So here, you know, it'll go ahead and stick onto it. And of course, because it is new, it is very sharp
2:54
So I do have to be careful with it, but it seems to glide, you know, just like butter so far, as you see here
3:02
Yeah, that's real easy, real smooth. I can probably just hold like this and just cut it like that
3:07
And here you can see what the cardboard looks like. There's going to be no jagged edges
3:11
except maybe this little portion over here. But that's nitpicking. It feels real nice. And yeah, overall, I'm pretty happy with this knife
3:20
What I would use this mostly for would just be, again, cutting up cardboard, opening up boxes
3:26
That's usually what I like to use my knives for. I'm not going to go ahead and be doing anything too outdoorsy
3:31
But what I do like doing is just carrying it around because you never know when you're going to go ahead and need a knife
3:37
So I do like the fact that, of course, it does come with the clip, which will make it easier to go ahead and put in my pocket
3:42
But yeah, that's a quick look at the Civivi Mini Praxis
