ROOT PRUNING Tutorial - How to Do it Correctly & Why it is Beneficial
Root pruning is one of those garden techniques that new gardeners hear about and scares them. But it is very easy to do and extremely helpful to the plants that you are doing it to because it allows the plants to begin creating new roots that will foster new growth and better absorption of water and nutrients. This is a technique that can be done with houseplants grown in the same container for a long time as well as for outdoor plants that have been living in their pots too long. The easiest way to notice if it may be time to root prune is if you notice your plant begins to stagnate in growth and is no longer looking its best.
