Shoshibo sent me this shape-shifting box. So I want to go ahead and do a quick
0:04
basically demonstration of it and see if I can go ahead and solve it. And out here on the back
0:08
we can see all the different shapes it goes into from a cube to kind of a star
0:11
shaped, the staircase, a pyramid, a box, a pentagon, and I don't even know what that is. But the first thing that I noticed about this
0:19
is the fact that it reminds me of a Rubik's Cube. So I have a Rubik's Cube right over
0:24
here next to me that I want to compare shortly. And so yeah, the first thing I see underneath
0:28
is actually going to be this this piece of paper and it says just how to get started. It gives me
0:34
instructions on how to go ahead and open it but I don't want to go ahead and take a look at that. I just want to go ahead and kind of figure it out on my own. There it is. So I know these come in a
0:43
bunch of different color options but this is the one I was sent and then here you can see what it
0:48
looks like in comparison to my Rubik's Cube, my Speed Cube and it is going to be a little bit
0:53
bigger. As far as weight goes it does have more weight to it. Now this feels like it's made out
0:57
of, I think this is like a hard paper. One thing I do like is the fact that the corners
1:01
are taken out. So I guess that makes it easier to go ahead and move. And also it prevents
1:06
the corners from breaking or chipping really. So if it was dropped, there's nothing to go
1:10
ahead and break Let see how can I move Okay I start in one of these corners and go ahead and kind of move out Oh wow yeah that moves a lot Oh wow yeah this really shifts and I see on the inside there going to be a bunch of different animals
1:26
So let me see if I can get one of the shapes and I believe one of them was like a staircase one
1:31
So let me see. Yeah, this is kind of tough. I don't know how to put the exact shape I want, but here you can kind of see what the inside looks like
1:38
All right, there it is. So I got this shape where it goes ahead and shows me all the animals. We got some penguins
1:43
we got some polar bears, some rabbits, a walrus, and a seal or another walrus and here's gonna be another shape
1:51
It's gonna be a star that has six points and it's gonna be oh oh
1:56
And now we see another animal we're gonna see like a leopard or a Some sort of cat and then here's what the other side goes in looks like with lighter shades of blue
2:04
Here's like a hybrid of the two with the staircase and the star Yeah, this really transforms into random shapes as well too
2:11
I don't even think I did anything correctly in here. We could see another shape was kind of formed
2:17
Here's something else that kind of reminds me of a crown with the three pointed tops
2:21
Finally I got the triangle. So here's what it goes and looks like and this thing is pretty big
2:26
It definitely does go ahead and spread out a lot and then we got the three different arctic animals in the center the bear rabbit and this walrus and then we got like that leopard big cat on the edges here and here what
2:38
the inside goes and looks like and right here is going to go ahead and be the square and it looks
2:42
a lot nicer this way than it does the other because there's just going to be a bunch of jagged edges here here this one looks different kind of reminds me of like a fighter jet
2:48
and here's what it looks like when it's almost put fully away and there i went ahead and put it back
2:56
now I'm pretty sure I missed some shapes but I got plenty of them and some other unique ones so
3:00
here you can see all them again so this wasn't too bad to go ahead and solve and I can definitely
3:04
see how this can go ahead and be a de-stressor overall you know if you're new to kind of puzzle
3:08
solving then this definitely would be a good option uh since you don't really have to memorize anything if you want to go ahead and you know go up in level then a Rubik's Cube would be a good
3:16
option just because you will have to go ahead and learn different algorithms to go ahead and be able to solve it and also you got you know pretty speedy with fingers as well too so um yeah I think
3:25
it'll take me, yeah, I think realistically it'll take me less time solving this than this just
3:30
because I already know what to do here. So here you can kind of see mixed up. There it is. And
3:36
I start by solving a white cross over here at the bottom So almost got the cross There it is I got the white cross and everything is centered like so yeah I got that blue piece missing now I going to go ahead and do the the two layers at the same time
3:55
it's f2l so I just kind of repeat some patterns that I remembered
4:01
there now these two are done and now I'll go ahead and work on the red and the green
4:08
so one two there that's done and now the last one is going to be here so i'm going to take this one
4:16
off so i can do it the the preferred way i like doing it and there now the first two layers are
4:22
solved now the last thing is going to be the top layer so i don't really i don't really memorize
4:27
everything to be as most efficient so if i knew i would have been able to go ahead and solve this
4:33
otherwise I just go ahead and do it the long way. There, that's solved
4:38
And now it's time for the orienting this last layer here. And again, I don't know this exact algorithm
4:44
so I go ahead and use different ones until I get a pattern that I recognize
4:49
In this case, I'll recognize this pattern here. So these two have to be shifted. So I do, and there, that's how it is
4:57
And I solved the Ruse Cube, and then I solved this shape-shifting cube too. But yeah, that's a quick look at the puzzle cube
5:03
and quick look at the Rubik's Cube too because why not
