As someone who sits down most of the day, having a good chair is a priority, but so is a desk
0:05
And over the past few years, I made some upgrades to my standing desk, but there are a few things I can't fix
0:12
So I was thrilled when LiftSync reached out to collaborate on one of their standing desks
0:16
And because of how big the Quad Pro is, it comes in two boxes. The first box is the tabletop itself, which weighs over 65 pounds
0:23
This is a big table. And after taking it out of the box, I was stunned at how beautiful the wood is
0:29
At the back side you get these holes that make screwing in the legs easier, and while admiring the table, I noticed this, which I thought would come off, but it ended up being a blemish
0:42
The second box is 77 pounds, which is insane, since all the other standing desks I had weighed less than this
0:49
And for those of you wondering what's in these boxes, it's gonna be absolutely nothing. They just take up space in the box
0:55
And before I forget, here's how my current setup looks like. There's the old table
1:00
And here's all the pieces, nice and organized. Now with all the parts actually organized
1:05
we get four table legs, control crossbar, long crossbar, two short crossbars, power cord, power
1:09
adapter, control box, remote control, hardware, and let's not forget the user manual. Oh yeah
1:13
we also get the tabletop. Thankfully, the instructions are pretty clear, so it's not
1:17
going to be too hard building this. And if you have a drill, it's going to make the assembly much
1:22
Now, I'm not going to get too detailed with the instructions, but I will say to make sure
1:27
when attaching the crossbars to the legs that you push them in all the way
1:32
Otherwise screwing them in together could be difficult At this point I was pretty happy I took out all the stuff from my room since this table is massive compared to my other one Alright so now the time to attach the tabletop but I do have to flip this upside down Unfortunately this is pretty heavy and it just
1:48
me over here so I'm gonna do the next best thing and it's just gonna be put the tabletop right on
1:52
top of over here. And just to not scratch things up I'm gonna be using this blanket. Now the blanket
1:57
helped me push the table without scratching it against the metal so it was a pretty good idea
2:01
And I'll repeat myself again, ideally you would want to flip this upside down, but I'm doing what I can by myself
2:07
You gotta remember that this standing desk isn't just big, but it's also pretty heavy at over 100 pounds
2:12
so if I try to flip this over by myself, I might knock it down or even hurt myself
2:16
I'm almost there, now it's time to attach all the cables to the control box. And as I screw in everything at the bottom, I realize how genius this design is since all the cords
2:25
all the adapters are hidden when you look at it from the front view. So it doesn't look the neatest, which is why the last thing to do is just to
2:34
Actually attach the little adhesives here just to improve the cable management of this
2:39
So at this point, I'm still deciding where I want this standing desk to go
2:43
I thought in front of the window would be pretty cool But I quickly decided against it and wanted to put it back where my old desk was
2:49
So I got to work and started removing everything from my old desk And I was finally able to move it out of the way and start shimmying my old desk little by little in position
2:57
which ended up being a lot longer than I thought, just because I'm one person so I was just swiveling against one of its foot
3:03
which may or may not be recommended, but my table's still fine, so it's all good
3:07
Now when putting my stuff back to the desk, I did have to make a few changes. For starters I couldn use the monitor arm just because this is not gonna clamp on this table This table is way too thick for that monitor arm And the same goes for my microphone so I just use a microphone stand instead And I not going to leave all my wires hanging around so I attached a cable management box and just started going at it
3:27
And this took a little bit longer than I thought, just because I wanted to make sure everything was nice and tidy and nothing was hanging out from the front view
3:34
Now before I show you everything, let's start at the bottom. and by the bottom I mean underneath because I did a pretty good job with the cable management
3:42
That box came in clutch and everything's looking very neat and when I look from the side I can't
3:47
even see any of the wires except one of them hanging out which is connected to the outlet
3:52
And as you can probably tell I added one more thing to this desk and that's gonna be that
3:56
desk riser from my old table. At first I didn't want to add the desk riser because not having it
4:01
would give it a clean simple look but this gives me extra space and I could also hide some wires
4:06
behind it even better. Now besides the looks, let's actually get to the functionality because
4:10
this is a standing desk after all. So on the right side, you're going to get this panel
4:14
which has a digital display, six buttons, a USB-A and USB-C hub. Now the functionality of these
4:20
buttons are pretty self-explanatory. You see an arrow up, it goes up. You see an arrow down
4:25
it goes down. And then there's going to be one, two, and three. And these are just going to be
4:29
the presets, which I already have it set to. Now the first button, I have it set to 30.5 inches
4:35
which is gonna be an inch above its minimum. The second one I set it to 43.5 inches
4:41
And the last one's at 47.2 inches which is also gonna be the maximum height
4:45
And let's not forget there's also a remote control that comes with this standing desk
4:49
which is weird because I never had a remote control for my standing desk There gonna be reset set increase decrease home which takes you to the lowest setting mode one and mode two So you can
5:00
see when I press the home button, it goes from its 33.1 inches all the way down to the minimum of
5:06
29.5. Now, according to the website, the loading capacity of this standing desk is 264 pounds and
5:13
I'm well below that. So I'm going to test it out to see if I can actually go on top of this and it
5:18
still work. And after 16 seconds it brought me all the way from the lowest setting to
5:26
the highest setting. And then I did the same thing going down and this took about 14 seconds
5:35
I was wondering if me being on top makes a big difference in the speed so I got off and
5:39
then try the same test again and this time going up it was a second faster at 15 seconds
5:48
and this time going down without me took 16 seconds so it actually took longer. So overall
5:58
I'm very happy and very impressed with this standing desk. Again my biggest complaint before
6:03
for my old standing desk was the fact that it wobbled in this one. You have to really push it
6:09
For this to wobble and there you can see in the background You know my monitor will move if I push it hard enough
6:16
This thing is sturdy. Yeah, and this is what just fell. It's my my laser pointer and besides that this standing desk is also
6:23
Beautiful that's a level of elegance to this room that I'm a fan of So if you want to check out the quad pro or another standing desk by lift sink, I'll leave the link down in the description below
