When snow gets stuck inside a snowblower, you might be tempted to reach in and pull it out
0:04
And that's where things can go very wrong. In just a few seconds, you could lose a finger
0:09
Luckily, newer models have come a long way, so you don't have to deal with every clog yourself
0:14
But with so many options out there, which ones are actually worth your attention
0:18
That's why today we're going over the 7 best snowblowers. Whether you're after a cordless model or a gas-powered machine
0:24
there's something here for you. And if you find something you like, I'll leave links to all the snowblowers in the description below. I've also tagged each product throughout the video so you can check them out
0:35
First up is the Arians Deluxe and it runs on a 252cc engine with an electric push button start and that comes in handy when it's freezing outside and you just want to get the job done
0:45
One press starts the engine and there's no cord to yank. On top of that
0:49
the chute turns 200 degrees so you can send the snow to either side of the driveway
0:54
It also has a 28 inch clearing width which lets you clear more snow with each pass
0:59
Now this is a heavy machine at 245 pounds but you don't have to push all that weight yourself
1:05
The self-propelled drive moves the snow blower forward once you get it going
1:08
And Arians also uses its dual belt drive to keep the machine running smoothly when it
1:13
hits tougher snow. Next up is the Ego S&T 2405. And there's something pretty interesting about this one
1:22
It has that two-stage setup you'd normally expect from a gas snow blower, but there's
1:26
no gas engine here. Instead, it runs on two 56-volt batteries through Ego's peak power system
1:32
You can also adjust the auger power as you clear. Use a lower setting for fresh snow to save battery, then turn it up when you hit packed
1:39
or icy snow. And that extra power helps the auger push through the tougher spots without bogging down
1:45
And since it's cordless, you don't have to deal with gas, oil changes, or fuel storage
1:49
And there's no exhaust fumes around you either. It's also quieter than a gas snow blower, which can be a nice perk if you need to clear
1:56
the driveway early in the morning Up next is the Toro Power Clear And it keeps things simple with a single stage design but the auger has an unusual detail Toro uses rubber here instead of metal you find on many snowblowers
2:11
And that choice makes sense for paved driveways since rubber has more flexibility and is less
2:16
likely to scrape up the surface. There is one limitation though. Gravel isn't really its strong suit so I'd look at a different machine if your driveway
2:23
has a loose surface. Toro also has power propel, so there's no separate drive system to worry about
2:30
The paddle stays in contact with the ground and pulls the machine forward as it spins
2:34
That takes some pressure off your arms and back, especially when there's a lot of snow to clear
2:38
For clearing power, the 212cc engine can throw snow up to 35 feet
2:42
And the shoe can also rotate a full 210 degrees, so you have more freedom to choose where the snow goes on a medium-sized driveway
2:49
But you won't find a bunch of speed settings here. Toro keeps it down to 1, so there's less to adjust
2:54
and you can focus on the job at hand. Then when the job is over, the handle and shoot fold flat
2:59
And the whole blower takes up a much smaller footprint so you can tuck it besides the wall or in a corner until the next storm
3:08
Next we have the Cobalt Gen 4 and it's the cheapest option here
3:12
Even so, it still has a few features that caught my attention. And let's start with the pitch control. Cobalt swaps the usual lever for a joystick
3:19
and you can change the shoot angle with a quick push in either direction. It's a small detail, but it feels much more natural than stopping to work a stiff lever into position
3:28
Another highlight is the auger. Cobalt doesn't go all steel or all rubber here
3:32
There's a steel cord inside with a rubber layer around it, and that combination gives it the strength to handle dense snow while still being gentle on the driveway
3:40
Besides that, you get two 4Ah batteries with about 27 minutes of runtime
3:45
And that isn't the longest on this list, but a full recharge takes only an hour
3:49
so you can get back to clearing it decently quickly. Next up is the PowerSmart, which is a corded electric snow blower
3:57
At just 22 pounds it easy to pick up and move around which comes in handy on sidewalks steps and other tight spots where a heavier snow blower can feel awkward Despite that compact size you still get a 15 amp motor a reinforced rubber auger and a 21 inch clearing
4:13
path. PowerSmart rates it for up to 1,020 pounds of snow per minute with a throw distance of up to
4:18
30 feet. The chute also swings a full 180 degrees so on a narrow walkway or a set of steps you
4:24
aren't stuck blasting snow in the same direction every single pass. You just swivel it and keep
4:29
moving. There's even built-in overload protection. When the auger hits a tough patch and the motor
4:34
starts to struggle, the machine cuts the power automatically. And that matters over the long run
4:39
because repeated overloads can gradually wear the motor down. So if you're looking for a
4:43
durable electric snowblower but don't want to keep track of battery charge, then this one is
4:47
worth a look at. And if you want to check out any of the snowblowers featuring this video
4:51
I've put links to all of them in the description below. Next up is the Craftsman and the auger is one of its standout features. The edge has a sawtooth
5:00
pattern instead of a smooth finish so it can bite into packed snow and ice more aggressively
5:06
And once that hard layer breaks apart, the steel impeller takes over and moves it through the
5:10
machine. Now say you're clearing a driveway with the house on one side and the lawn on the other
5:15
You don't want the snow to keep landing on the same spot and the Craftsman lets you change the
5:19
discharge direction from the handle. The chute covers 200 degrees and it takes only two and a
5:23
half turns to move from one side to the other. And you can also control how high the snow flies
5:28
A separate lever changes the chute angle so you can keep the snow close or send it farther off
5:33
on the side. Of course, all that control is great, but the Craftsman also pays attention to what sits
5:37
under the machine. Most snow blowers use metal skid shoes and after a few seasons, those can leave
5:43
some ugly rust stains on the garage floor. This blower, however, avoids that with poly shoes and
5:48
Then you can adjust their height to suit the surface underneath. Next up is the Senex, and if the auger runs into packed snow or ice, it backs itself off
5:58
resets and keeps going. You spend less time stopping to deal with stubborn spots, and that can make a noticeable
6:03
difference once the snow gets heavier. You got an 1800 watt brushless motor paired with a full steel auger and together they can move around 680 pounds of snow every minute It can also send snow as far as 33 feet which comes in handy when you don want to pile right next to the
6:17
area you just cleared. Of course not every storm brings the same amount of
6:21
snow. You might get a light dusting one day and a foot the next. That's where the
6:25
adjustable clearing depth comes in. You can set it anywhere from 8 to 12 inches
6:29
so the machine can match the amount of snow you need to clear. Even with all
6:33
that, it weighs only 30 pounds, and that's already a nice advantage, but it gets even better once you
6:38
factor in the handle. It adjusts to your height and folds down when the blower needs to pack into
6:42
the garage. That keeps it much more compact when it's not doing any work. And Cenex also covers
6:47
the battery with a 3-year warranty, which is a nice extra for a machine you may keep around for
6:51
several winters. Finally we have the Voltask, and it runs on two 24 volt batteries that work together
6:59
as a 48 volt system. And both can charge at the same time on a dual quick charger so you're not
7:03
stuck waiting for one battery before charging the other. And a full charge takes about an hour and
7:08
a half and you get around 30 minutes of runtime. For a smaller area that's usually enough time to
7:12
get through the job. And under the hood you get a 1600 watt brushless motor that spins up to 1900
7:17
rpm. That's a lot of power for a machine this light and it's a big reason Voltas can handle
7:22
snow up to 10 inches deep. Now for changing direction the chute turns 180 degrees and can
7:27
throw it as far as 25 feet. The rotary level sits right on the handle and you can twist it as you go
7:33
That means you can change direction every few passes without having to stop and adjust anything
7:37
Fulltask also adds two LED lights and they're useful for more than just lighting up the blower
7:43
They help you see where you've already cleared making it easier to stay on track and avoid
7:47
leaving strips of snow behind. I also like what they did with the handle. You can adjust the height
7:51
to suit you and the grip has a gentle curve that follows the shape of your hands. It feels more
7:55
natural to hold and your palms don't have to take as much pressure during a longer session
8:00
So if you're after a powerful cordless snowblower, then this one packs a lot into a small machine
8:05
And that's all for today. I hope this list helped you choose the perfect snowblower. And if you find something you like, don't forget to check the description
