If you deal with plantar fasciitis, you already know how painful it can be
0:04
Sometimes even the first step in the morning feels like stepping on a nail, and wearing the wrong shoes can make it even worse
0:10
The good news is that the right footwear can make a huge difference. But with so many options out there, it's hard to know which ones actually help
0:17
and which ones just look supportive. So to save you some time, I looked at the top options
0:22
went through tons of reviews, and narrowed it down to the 10 best shoes for plantar fasciitis
0:26
And one of the shoes on this list is actually recommended by podiatrist for plantar fasciitis
0:31
so make sure to stick around for that. And if you find something you like, I'll leave links to all the shoes in the description below
0:37
First up is the A6 Gel Excite 11, which I ranked as the best budget option
0:42
And if you want something affordable that still feels comfortable, then this is a good place to start
0:46
It's made for neutral runners, so it works best if your stride is fairly balanced
0:51
And the cushioning is soft enough for everyday use, whether you're going for a walk, hitting the gym, or just doing some light runs
0:58
Asics also added pure gel in the heel, which helps take some of the sting off of each step
1:03
The upper is a breathable mesh, so the shoe stays light and comfortable even after wearing it for a while
1:09
The only thing to know is that the fit runs a little small, so going up half a size is usually the safer move
1:15
But if you need something with more room in the toe box, then the next one is going to be a better option
1:19
Up next is the Hoka Gaviota 5, which I ranked as the best for wide feet
1:24
And if most shoes feel tight in the front, then this one gives your toes some extra space
1:28
The forefoot is roomier than the previous version, and Hoka also offers wide sizes
1:33
Comfort is also a big reason why people like this shoe. The midsole is thick and soft, so it feels great for long walks or some runs
1:40
But it's not just soft. The H-frame support system helps keep your foot steady as you move
1:45
The upper uses a breathable mesh, and there's good padding around the ankle, so the shoe feels comfortable right away
1:51
One thing to keep in mind is the weight. It is a bit heavier than some other shoes, but if you want some extra room, some strong support, and lots of cushioning, then the Hoka Gaviota 5 is a great choice
2:02
Next up is the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 which I ranked as the best for walking So if you spend a lot of time on your feet this is the kind of shoe that makes a long walk feel easier It has a good mix of cushioning and support so your steps feel soft but still
2:16
stable. And one of the main reasons people like this shoe is the guide rail system. It helps keep
2:22
your foot from rolling too much which can take pressure off your heel and arch. And the cushioning
2:26
is also very comfortable. Brooks uses their DNA Loft V3 foam which feels soft without making the
2:32
feel extra bulky. Now the upper is breathable and the fit around the ankle
2:37
feels secure right away, so it works well for some daily walks or just being on
2:41
your feet for long periods of time. But one small downside is gonna be that it's
2:45
not the lightest shoe on this list, but if walking is your main activity and you
2:49
want something supportive that still feels comfortable, then the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 is a great pick. Up next is Dr. Scholl's Hello Loafer, which I
2:58
ranked as the best slip-on option. So if you want something that's easy to wear
3:02
and doesn't involve laces then this one keeps things simple. You can just slip it
3:06
on and go. It has a clean casual look with a faux leather upper so it works
3:11
well for everyday wear or just a casual office day. Now comfort is also a big
3:15
part of the design. The insole has soft cushioning with built-in arch support
3:19
which helps take some pressure off your feet. The outsole is lightweight and
3:23
flexible so the shoe moves naturally as you walk and there's a small lift in the
3:27
heel which gives it a slightly more polished look. One thing to know is that
3:31
this isn't meant for workouts or long runs. But if you want a simple slip-on that feels comfortable
3:36
and easy to wear all day, the Dr. Scholz Hello Loafer is a great option. Next up is the Asics
3:42
Gel Cayano 32, which I ranked as the best for stability. So if your feet tend to roll inward
3:48
when you walk or run, then this is the kind of shoe that can really help. It's designed to keep
3:52
your steps more controlled and balanced, and the cushioning is also very comfortable. The midsole
3:57
feels soft under your foot, which helps take some pressure off your heel during longer walks
4:01
and Asics also built in their 4D guidance system, which helps keep your stride steady
4:06
without making the shoe feel stiff. Now the upper is breathable and comfortable around the foot
4:11
so it works well for everyday wear or longer workouts. But one thing to keep in mind is that the shoe
4:16
is a bit heavier than some other running options So if you want a stable shoe that still feels cushioned and supportive then the A6GEL Cayano 32 is a great choice Next up is the Birkenstock Arizona Berkey Buck which I ranked as the best sandals
4:31
And if you want something more open and breathable, especially in warmer weather, then this is
4:35
a great option. Birkenstock has been making this style for decades and it's still one of the most recognizable
4:40
sandals out there. And the big reason people love them is the footbed
4:45
It's made from cork and latex and it's shaped to support the natural curve of your foot
4:49
And over time it also starts to mold slightly to your foot which makes them feel even more
4:53
comfortable the longer you wear them. The upper uses Berkey Buck which has a soft brush texture that looks similar to Nubuck
5:00
leather and with the two adjustable straps it's easy to dial in the fit
5:04
Underneath the EVA sole keeps the sandal lightweight and flexible so it doesn't feel heavy when
5:09
you're walking around. The only downside is that they can take a little time to break in before they feel just
5:14
right, but if you want a supportive sandal that's comfortable for everyday wear, then
5:18
these Birkenstock Arizonas are a classic choice. And by the way, if you want to check out any of these footwares I mentioned, I put links
5:24
to all of them in the description below. Now, if you're looking for something lighter and more responsive, then the next option
5:29
is a better choice. Next up is the Adidas Supernova Rise 2, which I ranked as the best lightweight
5:36
And if you want something that feels lighter on your feet, then this is a good pick
5:40
comfortable for runs but it also works well in the gym or some long walks. The
5:44
cushioning feels soft without making the shoe feel bulky and Adidas uses
5:48
DreamStrike plus foam which helps keep the ride smooth and comfortable. They also
5:52
added support rods in the midsole and these help guide your foot forward as
5:56
you move which makes each step feel a little bit more natural. The upper is a
6:00
breathable mesh so the shoe stays cool and flexible while you're wearing it and
6:04
one thing to keep in mind is the fit can feel a bit roomy so if you have narrow
6:08
feet it may not feel as snug but if you're after a lighter shoe that feels comfortable and cushioned
6:14
then the adida supernova rise 2 is a great choice up next is the brooks glycerin gts 23 which i
6:21
ranked as the best for durability and if you want a shoe that can handle a lot of use without wearing
6:25
out quickly then this one is built for that it works well as an everyday trainer and it's
6:30
comfortable enough for longer runs or walks and one thing people really like about this shoe is the cushioning Brooks uses that DNA tuned foam which gives you a soft feel under your foot while still keeping things supportive And it also includes
6:42
that guide rail system I talked about before. Now the upper is breathable and
6:46
fits securely around your foot so the shoe feels comfortable right away. And one thing to know about this shoe is that it is a bit heavier than some other
6:53
running shoes. So if you're after a shoe that's comfortable and holds up well over time, then the Brooks Glycerin GTS 23 is a great choice. Up next is Dr
7:02
Scholl's Time Off, which I ranked as the best value. And if you want something comfortable that still looks good, then this shoe is an easy choice. It has a
7:09
clean, casual style that works with jeans, shorts, or everyday outfits. And comfort
7:15
is a big reason people like this one. The insole has soft cushioning with
7:18
built-in arch support, which helps keep your feet feeling good even after
7:22
wearing them for a while. The outsole is lightweight and flexible, so the shoe
7:26
moves naturally as you walk. And one small detail I like is the easy clean
7:29
repellent on the side of the sole which helps the shoe stay looking cleaner. So
7:34
if you're looking for a shoe that looks good and also doesn't cost too much, you won't regret getting the Dr. Scholl's time off. Finally at number one is the
7:41
Hoka Bondi 9 which I ranked as the best overall. And this is a very balanced
7:46
package. It gives you strong cushioning, durable construction, and everyday versatility all in one design. The upper combines engineered mesh and recycled
7:54
polyester so you get a fresher feel on hot days without giving up the overall style. And around
7:59
the ankle there's a 3D molded collar that curves to the shape of your heel and the extended heel
8:05
pull tab makes it easier to get the shoe on quickly. The midsole is a super critical EVA foam
8:10
and at 43 millimeters thick it's a mattress for your foot. Every step lands softly and the comfort
8:16
sticks around all day and on top of that the outsole has durable rubber at the high wear zones
8:21
which help it last a little bit longer. It also carries the AMPA seal of acceptance
8:26
and the reflective details on the upper mesh mean low light is never really an issue
8:30
So if you're after a shoe that does it all, then the Hoka Bondi 9 is a great pick
8:35
And that's all for today. I hope this list helped you choose the perfect shoes for plantar
8:39
fasciitis. And if you find something you like, don't forget to check the description to find
