Pretty Vee Reveals Secrets Behind 'The Pretty Victory' 📚 | SWAY’S UNIVERSE

0:00
ladies and gentlemen another milestone
0:02
for our friend right here another
0:05
milestone for our friend Heather be come
0:08
on man she's not just a personality
0:11
she's not just a comedian she's not just
0:13
an actress and I don't even like to use
0:15
the word just because all of those
0:17
accomplishments are huge right
0:19
absolutely uh you got to add author to
0:22
this one right now ladies and gentlemen
0:24
and I enjoy her so much from the first
0:26
time I've seen her on social media um
0:30
like she was Millie Rocking In Harlem
0:31
somewhere bong I remember them days I
0:33
thought her Millie Rock was nice I had
0:35
no idea what else she did so much I was
0:38
like God damn her Milly rock is crazy
0:41
right but we gotten to learn that
0:43
there's so many layers to the special
0:46
human being who goes by the name of
0:48
pretty V and she's here to talk about
0:50
the pretty Victory it's a 100 day
0:52
devotional and guided journal to help
0:54
you to find your goals find the strength
0:56
to reach them and it's available for
0:59
purchase right now I just want to read a
1:00
little excerpt from the book okay I want
1:03
to read a little excerpt from the book I
1:05
learn how to read let's see this Oakland
1:08
education Oak California how Oak treated
1:11
Town business we read okay and this is a
1:14
cold read right here cuz I just turned
1:16
to this page okay hearing the word
1:18
pretty makes a lot of people think of
1:20
something soft or sweet something that's
1:22
all about how you look like oh isn't she
1:25
so pretty and there's nothing wrong with
1:27
wanting to look good or feel good when I
1:29
first first started to make it in the
1:31
entertainment industry I needed a way to
1:33
stand out something that will help me
1:35
build my brand by choosing to go by
1:37
pretty V which I did not know I wasn't
1:41
rejecting the idea of being pretty in
1:43
that way I was embracing it but that's
1:45
not all it is or it was either for me
1:48
pretty doesn't have anything to do with
1:51
makeup or cute clothes it's not about
1:53
the Glam it's about who someone is the
1:57
light that shines out from inside it's
1:59
about embodying an inner Radiance woo
2:03
that's pretty V come on
2:06
man that's more than pretty though
2:08
that's
2:09
beautiful but at what stage in your life
2:12
what was it that made you start to
2:14
embrace pretty and give it this
2:16
definition that you so eloquently
2:18
written in this book I mean well thank
2:20
you hey y'all you know
2:23
the what up what's up y'all thank you so
2:26
much sway you know and my family and
2:28
y'all for just having me once again you
2:30
know I'm just always just so delighted
2:32
and always humbly grateful just to be in
2:34
this seat um because when you're just
2:37
you're called You're called in rooms you
2:39
know and when it's your name in rooms
2:41
you just got to go out and and be in
2:42
those rooms the right rooms so I'm
2:44
always feel so welcome every time I come
2:46
in this room because it's the right room
2:48
to be in so thank you so much for having
2:50
me but again I embraced uh me being um
2:53
pretty V but also the meaning of it and
2:55
having that Radiance of just boldness of
2:57
being the light and just being kind and
2:59
being sweet and being genuine from a
3:00
long time and I think people get it
3:02
twisted when they say oh she's pretty
3:04
and she's just this and she's just funny
3:05
and she like no it's not about all of
3:07
that it's just about what's within you
3:09
know I think you're pretty you have a
3:11
good radius I think you're pretty like I
3:13
just TCH you think T pretty you know
3:15
because every time you know I may come
3:17
in it's just it's always welcoming it's
3:19
warm it's it's it's it's inviting you
3:21
know so it's just not about the looks
3:23
it's just about what is within how can I
3:25
respect the inner man you know when the
3:27
inner man is good it's it's I'm I'm able
3:29
to see outwardly yes you know so yeah I
3:32
love that man come on man we going to
3:34
get gems from pretty V all day uh when
3:36
did you decide to put it to a book and
3:38
you said you hope that it helps people
3:40
yeah it sounded like you needed to do it
3:42
to help yourself as well you better talk
3:45
so don't make me cry on it no no no no
3:47
you cried last time I know I did um I
3:51
think I needed that I needed to Center
3:53
myself I think as influencer turned
3:56
actress and all these things that the
3:58
accolades that she just read and just
4:00
even for my peers who in the same boat
4:02
we're chasing the necks when we should
4:05
be asking God to show me what my next
4:08
look like give me the instructions to do
4:10
what I'm called to do I don't need to
4:12
get depressed and have anxiety behind
4:14
what ifs in the Mayes and the ne you
4:17
guys are legends up here clearly it's
4:19
longevity in this building so we're
4:21
trying to get to that next space but
4:23
this generation in this world we're
4:24
living is so different and I just wanted
4:27
to come in and show a different side of
4:28
me outside of of the table outside of B
4:31
Sheron outside of clean up Mom outside
4:34
of all the characters that I do and say
4:36
hey Ministries within and if you respect
4:39
and trust my comedy you trust my words
4:41
too and that's what I decided to go in
4:43
my closet and isolate myself and say yes
4:46
I wanted to turn this book sideways and
4:48
go back on the table and jump and be a
4:50
this this this Class Act but also
4:52
there's a mission too this is liquid
4:54
it's always going to be on the Shelf
4:56
you're going to always hear about the
4:57
pretty Victory it's in Target it's in
4:59
Barnes know it's always going to be that
5:01
but it's the space of what is the next
5:03
and how can I make sure I give the
5:05
people something different outside of
5:07
what I do and I just the words that I've
5:09
seen growing up I turn it into words my
5:11
pain you know my disappointments you
5:14
know the love my dad you know just me
5:17
being depressed anxiety just things that
5:19
I've experienced while I'm in the
5:20
industry I just wanted to put it all
5:22
together and I read devotionals I love
5:24
Joyce Myers and this is not just your
5:26
typical devotional it's has comedy work
5:29
though to it's a workbook you get to
5:31
write you get to do crossw puzzles and
5:33
I'm not just in the book alone I ask my
5:35
friends that's in the industry well some
5:36
of them what makes them Victorious and I
5:39
actually have a section of my Victorious
5:41
friends that's in the book like Shaq
5:43
like Issa Reay like Charlamagne like you
5:45
know be Simone blon Quay and I ask them
5:46
what makes them Victorious and you're
5:48
not going to just be healed and inspired
5:50
by my words but their words as well I
5:52
love it pretty V man let's say the name
5:53
of the book again the pretty Victory um
5:57
I hear you talk about you use the word
5:59
de de in that response and folks may not
6:02
realize what your bout has been with uh
6:05
with depression even as you start
6:07
experience success whether it's coming
6:09
out of college graduating it's supposed
6:11
to be a happy time you know man you
6:13
completed this Mission you put yourself
6:15
on now it's the world in front of you
6:17
but you come out of college and you
6:18
dealing with depression being getting
6:21
connected with wilding out and you
6:22
having all you know you're successful on
6:24
social media but you're still battling
6:26
with depression yeah right talk about
6:29
that was that peculiar because a lot of
6:31
us think once you get to a certain goal
6:33
y all your issues go away don't work
6:36
like that it don't work like that how
6:37
did it work for you um I always go by
6:39
this uh there's a process before the
6:41
promise and that's actually in my book
6:43
as well I don't know what day it is but
6:44
it's there there's there was a process
6:47
to get here and the process had to come
6:49
with all those things it had to come
6:50
with those anxieties it had to come with
6:52
those sleepless nights it had to come
6:53
with the depression to get to my
6:55
Victorious season and do we have those
6:58
days where we're overthinking still and
7:00
it's like okay what what am I doing next
7:01
or how can I orchestrate these things
7:04
but yes it does it comes but all you
7:07
have to do is Center yourself and really
7:09
take a second and say look I'm blessed
7:11
I'm here I'm I'm able to breathe I'm
7:13
able to smell I'm able to touch I'm able
7:15
to give God glory whatever season I I'm
7:17
entering in but yes it doesn't stop
7:20
those up and downs come but all you got
7:22
to do is say okay now I'm very spiritual
7:24
devil get behind me I don't know what
7:25
that is what we talking about I need you
7:26
to move past cuz I got to go to my next
7:29
seon
7:30
I'm to has that happened recently um
7:34
yeah for sure you be in the car thinking
7:36
like why I just had that thought at six
7:38
years old why that thing came back in my
7:39
mind what I'm talking thinking about
7:41
you'll be in that space because I think
7:43
we all have it where you're driving and
7:45
you just get a glimpse of what God
7:47
pulled you from but that's when the
7:48
enemy brings you back to make you feel
7:50
like you have to sit there it's like you
7:52
don't make a house in the depression you
7:54
can't go back to what if and what was
7:56
when God already healed you from it so
7:58
of course we have those moments I'm
8:00
human you know that's why what makes me
8:02
uh happy I'm able to write it down and
8:04
see my words to really go and resonate
8:06
to this book and go back to say oh girl
8:09
what are you talking about this is in
8:10
your hand read these days and remind
8:13
yourself what you're doing for these
8:15
people and what you're doing for
8:16
yourself pretty V is in the building man
8:19
yes pretty V can we talk about ugly
8:23
victories oh come on now because you
8:26
know sometimes folks don't realize their
8:29
pursuing goals without Soul you know and
8:32
maybe that can look like seeking
8:35
validation through social media and
8:38
becoming an influencer a content creator
8:40
but you don't necessarily know why yeah
8:43
you just are craving attention or
8:45
perhaps you're pursuing a particular
8:48
partner because on the surface it
8:50
appears they can give you things but
8:52
then once you lock that individual in
8:55
all hell breaks loose right can you
8:58
share how to know that your purpose is
9:02
really coming from a pure place the
9:04
intention of it versus your purpose
9:07
coming from a desire to look dope and
9:12
I'm going tell you straight like this um
9:14
it's simple it's it's if God is not the
9:17
arthor of confusion I don't walk in no
9:20
place feeling confused or feeling second
9:21
guessing about what my purpose or
9:23
calling is like are you going to last in
9:26
this industry that's my thing when I'm
9:28
in my space and my calling I'm like this
9:30
is what I'm supposed to do it's running
9:33
smooth for me like I don't have no
9:35
issues I don't have nobody feeling like
9:37
oh well is V being genuine or she's
9:39
doing this no when I walk into places
9:42
I'm already praying before I after I
9:44
leave my car I'm praying I'm outside
9:46
like okay God before I walk in I need
9:48
you to shift the atmosphere you know I
9:51
need you to make sure I'm good when I'm
9:53
on the tables and I'm entertaining on
9:55
social media this is a place of look I
9:57
want the longevity of it I'm just doing
9:59
this entertain my people but there's a
10:01
bigger calling I want to get on these
10:02
one woman shows I want to be that whoop
10:04
be Goldberg like I know I have it in me
10:06
to produce and direct my own plays like
10:08
I know those moments are coming you know
10:10
but again you just have to understand
10:12
it's just it's simple it's just are you
10:15
able to uh go through the storms are you
10:18
able to uh sacrifice some things and are
10:22
you going to last and you see people
10:24
come and go all the time like what is
10:26
that like I I get it like we all have
10:28
those moment where we may not be booked
10:30
every day you might just Monday through
10:32
Thursday and then Friday Saturday and
10:34
Sunday you home just chilling waiting on
10:35
the phone call those things happen it's
10:37
just a part of the game all you got to
10:39
do is just keep yourself going get
10:41
yourself centered and find what you're
10:43
finding and and ask God to give you the
10:45
creativity and the wity inventions to do
10:47
it sometimes we sit on our own gifts you
10:49
be like what's next and it's like he
10:50
already gave you what you should do you
10:52
just don't know how to get it done
10:53
because you still depending on social
10:55
media and those numbers and and and
10:57
trying to see if I can do this and do
11:00
that you don't see it as exciting
11:01
exciting yeah and of course we got been
11:03
in those spaces as influencers to be
11:05
like oh my God like did this video do
11:08
this this video do that like am I still
11:09
funny I only got like 100 likes on this
11:12
post like am I cute still they don't
11:14
even like this it's like this is what we
11:15
stressing about I used to do that we be
11:18
in a group chat like bone should I
11:20
delete this video right quick girl a hit
11:21
the way I needed to hit million views
11:24
last week we us we used to do that a lot
11:27
to cause us like girl we lit we're funny
11:31
you we really bugging about the likes
11:32
and the comments right now just no and I
11:35
and I started just embracing like
11:36
whatever it is someone's watching amen
11:39
you know someone's looking at me it's
11:40
okay about it but then it's very
11:43
important with Brands too though like
11:45
the brands investing their money and
11:46
time into you they want to see something
11:48
in return what does that engagement look
11:50
like you know you're not going to give
11:51
me a Fenty deal and I only got two likes
11:54
on my post that ain't what it is let me
11:55
get that 50,000 back right quick girl
11:57
we'll try again in two years like that's
11:59
how it goes and thank God I never ran
12:01
into that problem but it does and that's
12:03
why sometimes we are concerned about all
12:05
these things that we may feel that we
12:07
need validation from people and we'll go
12:09
so hard and mix and miss the we'll miss
12:11
the Mark if you doing too much thank you
12:14
here until you soaking up game over
12:16
there Heather what's going on you know
12:18
why I love it because I'm waiting on
12:21
Heather no it's it's a blessing to have
12:24
you here it is it really is and today
12:27
happens to be good news Thursday for us
12:28
but we
12:30
CI to call and share
12:33
testimonies and we SP half of theing
12:35
that I shared today about basically God
12:39
sending angels in Disguise you know you
12:42
just don't know sometimes when that
12:44
blessing is coming and it can come
12:45
through a person you may know who you've
12:48
been waiting to meet all your life and
12:50
then it can come through a complete
12:51
stranger and you get a blessing through
12:53
that has that happened to you in this
12:55
industry you know maybe someone who you
12:57
least expected or on one of those days
12:59
where you're questioning so much you're
13:01
even asking God what am I supposed to do
13:03
with this you got confirmation yeah um I
13:05
could go back to when I was in college
13:07
is actually the intro of my book when I
13:08
was so hungry y'all my stomach was
13:10
growling I had no food I was in school
13:13
like again you could call a mom for sure
13:14
you could call the sure we do but you
13:16
know when you in college you just feel
13:18
like you were just a boss like now you
13:19
grown cuz I got this I'm going to school
13:23
I'm out of school I'm have my own
13:24
apartment everything but I was still in
13:26
a space of lacking you know I was just
13:28
like I need need help until Mr Daniels
13:31
came he was a janitor at my um
13:33
university and he said God told me to
13:35
give you this $50 cuz you haven't been
13:36
eaten wow because you hadn't been eaten
13:40
and God told me he said God told me to
13:42
seow this $50 in you because you have
13:44
haven't been eating and my stumble was
13:47
just growling and he literally was like
13:49
no no no no and I said Mr Dan I can't
13:51
take that he's like I need you to take
13:53
this cuz God said you have not been
13:54
eating I need you to eat so that was one
13:56
of my angels that I still talk to this
13:58
day and that was back in 2015 2014 and
14:01
you still Cheon prophetically said that
14:03
and he was so right about that cuz I
14:06
wasn't and I didn't want to call home
14:08
the refund checks don't hit as much you
14:10
know you got to pay the people back you
14:12
know from lying on it like like you know
14:14
you got to make made give your mama
14:17
$3,000 from the 6,000 and you left with
14:19
nothing for real you know so for him to
14:22
to know that it was a blessing and in
14:25
the industry now you know I could say
14:27
the Charlamagne has been Ang for me you
14:30
know those esays the sways to speak in
14:33
my life and I hold that the Heather's a
14:36
you like those are my angels there's
14:38
nobody in particular that I could say
14:40
anybody I walk into the room with you
14:41
guys are being that for me to speak life
14:44
into me to encourage me you gave me the
14:46
longest hug to say you're proud of me
14:48
that's so Angelic to me you know that is
14:51
so Angelic because I broke out of that
14:53
box and for you guys to see me and to
14:56
hear me and to have me on your show is
14:57
just it's I'm grateful pretty V man I
15:00
love it yes you we we we recognize your
15:04
light and then it's our duty to make
15:06
sure we help it to shine pretty V
15:08
playing yeah man what happened get off
15:10
of my message what's up Shaq okay up sh
15:14
Tex pull up radio haunted house pull up
15:17
in the ghost sha that's our guy right
15:20
here love Shaq man peace to Shaq his mom
15:23
came up here I I feel like I became Shaq
15:25
big brother right there that day you
15:27
don't think I became his big brother
15:29
brother no brother his mom was nice to
15:33
you but I don't think it was brother go
15:34
ahead and that's and that's the greatest
15:36
thing shout out to Shaq man Shaq Shaq
15:39
Shaq has been a vessel in my life it's
15:41
been plenty of times I've been on the
15:42
blogs and I wanted to respond so much
15:45
and Shaq's like uh um no ma'am you're a
15:48
queen you don't come off your throne to
15:50
address anything yes you keep going I
15:53
think you're funny I think you're dope
15:55
let's go you know so I shout out to Shaq
15:57
I love him so much I want to to that
15:59
because the last time I saw a shack I
16:02
was in Vegas actually with Kanani's mom
16:05
we were at his William we were at a
16:07
benefit for his foundation yeah there
16:10
are thousands of people there that man
16:13
got up from his table walked over to our
16:16
table not only to say hello and greet
16:19
everybody there extended his phone
16:21
number and said if you ever need
16:23
anything call me someone like him
16:26
doesn't have to do that you know but to
16:29
your point sis pouring into somebody you
16:32
know he doesn't know what kind of day I
16:34
could have been having or anybody there
16:36
but for him to take time out to do that
16:38
those things stay with you for a long
16:40
time I don't let nobody talk about Shad
16:42
yeah I love Shad I love him he's just so
16:45
awesome but he's still you still not the
16:47
big brother I'm the big brother man I to
16:50
I talk to him I talk to him on FaceTime
16:53
yes we love that when yo I don't like to
16:56
brag about
16:57
my you know my brother Peter guns called
17:01
me from the car with Shaq in the car and
17:04
Shaq said some beautiful words to me yes
17:07
yes as they should sway you are a legend
17:09
I'm always going to give your flowers
17:11
you one of those ones you know you one
17:13
of those ones who made us say hey we
17:15
want to be that when we get older you
17:16
know we want to go to school for for for
17:19
excuse me for communications to make
17:21
sure like we're in that place like I
17:23
you're just a legend right and you look
17:26
good you better I pray don't don't don't
17:30
don't do it to him going to be
17:31
impossible to deal with when you leave
17:32
now pretty s yeah
17:36
pretty you know
17:38
that's this is what I want to do you
17:40
have um this book is great by the way
17:43
and I I've been I've been pages when I
17:46
read books M and each page is a
17:49
different day yeah a different day
17:51
devotional okay so you wrote on day 87
17:55
and I would love for you to if you can
17:57
give a a brief
18:00
just a synopsis of what this is about
18:02
and I'mma go down a line like a litany
18:05
right and so that the audience that's
18:07
watching yeah can hear you break this
18:09
down okay what camera would she okay day
18:12
87 says validate yourself pretty V what
18:15
did you mean by that validate yourself
18:17
you don't need the world to tell you
18:18
that you're this person you don't need
18:20
the world to tell you that you're funny
18:22
you don't need the world to tell you
18:24
that you're lit when you know you're lit
18:25
you don't know the world to to tell you
18:28
that hey uh you know uh if you not this
18:31
person then you can't be no you don't
18:34
need the validation from others you have
18:35
it God has already qualified you boot
18:38
all you got to do is just keep on going
18:40
all you got to do is keep on going that
18:42
was a powerful Day Day 88 the time has
18:45
changed but the pain hasn't oh Lord so
18:47
why you went to get I've been in your
18:49
book man come on I had to know who's
18:51
dancing on that table come on
18:53
now right the time has changed but the
18:56
pain has it time goes by I mean look how
18:59
many people that we've lost in the
19:01
industry you know um the things that we
19:04
have to go through that we still face
19:06
but the time keeps going it's already
19:07
11:30 yeah you know and somebody has
19:10
passed away yesterday on us last month
19:13
on us a year ago and the time has but
19:15
the pain is still there and if you don't
19:18
forgive or if you don't you know heal
19:20
yourself properly it's the pain will
19:22
still be there so I think for me it's
19:24
just plain and simple the time is gone
19:26
but the pain is still there you know so
19:29
yeah I like that and this is one of my
19:31
favorites that you wrote on day 90
19:34
Unleash Your Own potential this is for
19:37
our listeners what does that mean
19:38
Unleash Your Own potential you are
19:40
suffocating the gift that God has for
19:42
you you have to now step out I don't
19:45
care if you go out there with a big T
19:47
don't care if go ban coca bread or or
19:50
Coca-Cola juice you better go out there
19:52
and go into sit and stand in your own
19:55
potential and stand there because it's
19:57
time you have to unleash what God
20:00
already embedded in you you have to
20:01
unleash the gift that God has placed in
20:03
you you're holding so much in and you're
20:06
just trying to say when is a good time
20:07
to do it how can I do this no you're
20:10
just it's time the time is now unleash
20:13
your own potential stop suffocating the
20:15
gift that God has for you stop waiting
20:17
stop questioning stop feeling like you
20:19
can and cannot do it fear and faith
20:21
don't mix so that's just basically what
20:24
it is for me and then I'mma finish with
20:26
this one because we we
20:29
um in my experiences through personal
20:32
experiences I have a lot of
20:34
conversations uh with that are focused
20:36
on the pain right that are focused on
20:39
the struggle um the adversity but not on
20:42
solution yeah PE that's my pet
20:46
PE and not in a upward motion or not in
20:50
a forward motion we just in
20:52
inertia feeding off the pain and feeding
20:55
off the you know this these things right
20:58
you wrote on day
21:00
99 turn your pain into Victory yes turn
21:04
your pain into Victory explain that
21:08
um this is an example you are the living
21:12
yeah embodiment of that right I'm living
21:13
in an answered prayer I ask God to
21:16
remove take away please Judas get out
21:20
the way excuse me amen you know get out
21:22
of my way please forgive me God I ask
21:26
that you cover me whatever I've been
21:27
through whatever the people that I don't
21:29
see it for no let me have a clean heart
21:31
and a pure mind and a warm heart towards
21:33
people like so at the end of the day
21:34
like you know when you say that you just
21:36
you you now you just got to stand tall
21:38
in your Victory you got to stand tall in
21:40
your Victory and you got to live up to
21:42
your words right um in the book you talk
21:44
about being in a toxic relationship yes
21:48
right and you said in that that you felt
21:50
like you were lied and manipulated too
21:53
right and um I'm curious to how did you
21:56
recognize the red flags and this is for
21:59
people who remain in toxic toxic
22:01
relationships yeah and you stayed in it
22:04
but how did you get out of it yeah and
22:07
I'm GNA be very honest with you sway um
22:09
again sometimes when you're young I was
22:11
like super super young then but when
22:14
you're young and you're like okay this
22:17
looks good feels good and you don't
22:19
really understand but that's when I've
22:21
been having a discernment from Young so
22:23
I'm like I ain't really supposed to be
22:24
here for real like I Ain I'm just here
22:26
just dragging it on but again when you
22:28
just feel like this is your end all be
22:29
all or do you feel like this is where
22:31
you're supposed to be or you're praying
22:33
and the person hasn't gone nowhere yet
22:34
so like well this is the maybe this is
22:36
the one or maybe I'm supposed to be
22:38
around you justify it y I'm going to
22:39
tell you how I got out of it right and I
22:42
had to continue to stay in that place if
22:44
you know that you're going to get out of
22:45
something we tend to go back and forth
22:47
with ourselves and like well the double
22:49
minded start coming in like maybe if I
22:51
stay everything's going to be okay I'm
22:52
safe here bills will be paid this is
22:54
going on if I leave then I have to start
22:56
over start new what I did was I was in
23:00
their mirror one day I went downstairs
23:03
and I said God I need you to bind this
23:05
up whatever is holding me with this
23:07
person I need you to release it and I
23:10
tell you the the year later it was
23:12
confusion between us it was this going
23:14
back and forth all this I'm like oh yeah
23:17
soon as I said no to that I was able to
23:18
get my house I was able to start again I
23:21
was able to begin again and I was able
23:23
to heal and I was able to you know be
23:25
this person that's sitting here with you
23:26
guys today come on up amazing yeah it
23:29
only took words it took words it's words
23:31
right words took words and you got to
23:33
believe those words got to believe it
23:36
you got to know it in Your Heart Right
23:39
which brings me to day 10 okay I forgive
23:42
you oh
23:45
[Laughter]
23:47
Lord started something pretty B you done
23:49
started something I like this book you
23:52
like this book I love this book good
23:54
book right a good book well you say I
23:56
forgive you that's any and everything
23:58
everybody including yourself including
24:01
the to person in a toxic relationship
24:03
right right can you speak to that um I
24:06
just forgive you and it's just simple we
24:08
we uh sometimes we feel like oh why
24:11
should I be the first one to call why
24:13
should I be the first one to forgive
24:15
you're not doing it for you you're doing
24:16
it for your next because we hold oursel
24:18
back when we don't forgive The Grudges
24:20
hold us back the pain that you know you
24:22
have against someone hold you back from
24:24
your neck you may think you going
24:25
somewhere but it's some things that you
24:27
still need to shed away and off of you
24:29
and I think for me I I I just got to
24:32
forgive a lot of people have hurt me a
24:34
lot of people have did wrong a lot of
24:36
people have shaded me and did these
24:39
things and that thing but I just kept
24:41
going and moving with Grace and saying I
24:43
forgive you you know so I hold that to
24:46
not just to me forgiving my childhood
24:49
forgiving what I've experienced but also
24:50
when I tapped into this industry I
24:52
forgive you and you got to do the same
24:54
thing for yourself and whoever has done
24:56
you wrong you just got to forgive them
24:58
and some sometimes be the person to call
25:00
sometimes if you feel like I got a my
25:02
pride put it to the side because you
25:03
don't know what that phone call would do
25:04
when you hang up you don't know there's
25:06
an email that should have been answered
25:07
will be answered you don't know that if
25:10
something is going on internally with
25:11
you you will feel so Victorious after
25:13
you hang up like you know what that was
25:14
it even if they don't get it you got it
25:17
and you know there's a next for you for
25:18
sure pretty V the book is called the
25:21
pretty Victory 100 day guide to recenter
25:24
yourself and find your purpose 88 74233
25:29
we got Iowa uh we got star from Iowa on
25:31
the line you all the way in Iowa what up
25:35
star hi guys how are you hi pretty V hey
25:39
girl how are you oh my God I'm
25:42
nervous it's
25:45
okay so I had a couple of questions for
25:48
you my first question was how long did
25:50
it take you to write your book from
25:52
start to finish um I've been I was
25:54
writing on my own for like a year but
25:56
the process well it took two years and
25:57
one of the years I was writing and
25:59
positioning myself to really put this
26:01
you know let the ink be dried so I had
26:03
to put it on book but I was really um
26:05
writing on my um my notepad and my my
26:08
laptop for a
26:09
year okay and my last question to you is
26:13
what is your favorite quote in your
26:16
book a delay is never denial what was
26:19
that a delay is never denial a delay is
26:21
never a denial yeah okay that that's my
26:23
favorite uh day actually um and it just
26:26
reads that a delay is never denied I
26:28
mean you you you can be delayed so much
26:30
but you not denied God is trying to get
26:32
you right sometimes he got to go through
26:34
some things but he's just trying to get
26:35
you right you first of all you got to
26:37
get yourself right you know God already
26:38
told you how to do it we got to do get
26:40
it ourselves like I'm a relatable person
26:42
so I'm just look clacking toes heel red
26:46
bottoms boo we going talk gold teeth
26:48
Yankee fitted we G to speak about God
26:50
and we G to speak about that walk you
26:51
got to get yourself right you got that's
26:53
it sometime we be like God God this no
26:56
it's you too so you got to get yourself
26:58
right yeah for sure absolutely I'm I
27:00
gotta go because I got to get back to
27:02
work but I do want to let you know
27:03
pretty V that I'm so very proud of you
27:06
and you are amazing I've been there
27:08
since you had the little baby on your
27:10
hip in the middle of the street I still
27:12
don't know who baby that is baby is
27:15
that we are rooting for you and you here
27:18
for every little black girl that thought
27:21
she couldn't do it she did it so I love
27:23
you I will continue to support and y'all
27:25

27:27

27:29

27:33

27:36

27:40

27:44
what do you see for yourself
27:47
wow um three I want another book I want
27:51
to I'm definitely in the motion of doing
27:53
I want to do a kids devotional so okay
27:56
KY needs and I wanted to rhyme okay you
27:59
know you know bars a little something
28:02
don't put me on the spot this time no no
28:03
we run the freestyle all the time we
28:06
made it into a sweeper so you get that
28:08
that goes daily okay go ahead um but I
28:11
think for me in the next three years
28:13
again just tapping back into the space
28:15
of you know uh the comedy space the
28:18
acting space producing directing um my
28:20
woman woman show I'm in the midst of
28:22
trying to get that together and get that
28:23
going so you guys can see that happening
28:26
for myself as well and just pushing the
28:28
whatever I put down I'm picking back up
28:29

29:16
