character from some of the legendary

you know uh people like that those kind

folks usually compare sparma is nothing

like those characters but i'm curious to

concerned at all about comparisons and

what was your approach to sparma

to distinguish him that's a great

and i think it's probably something a

lot of actors or artist musicians deal

with too you want to do something great

you got to step into new territory you

got to embrace risk and failure

and um i certainly took that approach

here i just kept reminding myself to be

as brave as possible

and the fun thing was that there were

there is a history of people

kind of taking these darker characters

and elevating them i mean you have

two great performances in silence of the

or is acting the form of therapy for you

i mean it's like anything you know if

you were to like binge watch

starts to get under your skin you need a

the craziest fbi transcripts i was

looking at things that people probably

spend that much time with uh in terms of

you know crime scene reports and

get under your skin and then when you

uh it really i think it depends on your

wanted to push things as far to the edge

but you know one of my favorite parts

about sparma was his sense of humor

he was a i always found him to be quite

funny and

uh he uses that humor to keep people

keep people off balance and to surprise

others and that was a lot of fun on the

improvisation and ad-libs and things
