Fiery projectiles crossed lanes of traffic, creating a dangerous situation for motorists on the interstate. Firefighters, Tri-Comm personnel, and law enforcement responded to the scene. Traffic was stopped in both directions while crews worked to extinguish the fire and protect drivers from the ongoing explosions. Video from the scene shows a pickup truck or trailer engulfed in bright orange flames, with thick gray smoke rising into the evening sky. Fireworks continuously ignited inside the burning vehicle, sending sparks and bursts of light across the roadway as firefighters directed hoses at the blaze.
