Bunagana, Uganda - May 27, 2026 BUNAGANA BORDER- EBOLA- UGANDA - AUTHORITIES- ANNOUNCE- CLOSURE - ITS -BORDER WITH DRC. May,28 BUNAGANA BORDER-UGANDA, MAY,28: Uganda has heightened its security and disease surveillance measures at its border points especially those neighboring Democratic republic of Congo(DRC). At Bunagana border, bordering Democratic Republic Congo(DRC), Ugandan side screening of people and sanitation especially those Congolese nationals entering in the country was on going. Bunagana border town is located in extreme southwestern Uganda, in Kisoro District, at the international border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo(DRC). RESIDENT District Commissioner for Kisoro district, BADUL SEBYALA Said that the district authorities are on the high alert with several measures being implemented to combat Ebola cases in the country. According to ministry of health Permanent secretary Dr. Diana Atwine Uganda has closed its border with DRC for four weeks temporary due to ebola outbreak. (Videos by Nicholas Kajoba)
