Weather permitting, balloons launch every morning from the town of Goreme, carrying local and international tourists above Cappadocia's unique volcanic landscape. The flights, particularly popular with visitors from East Asia, last about 45 minutes. Recognized as one of the world's leading hot air balloon destinations in terms of flight days and passenger numbers, Cappadocia hosts balloon flights on more than 200 days each year with permission from Türkiye's Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
