Tunisia: POV GoPro Captures Marine’s Free Fall During Military Jump.
Oct 9, 2026
Bizerte, Tunisia - September 18, 2026 A body-worn GoPro captured the point-of-view of a U.S. Marine during a military free-fall jump with Tunisian service members on September 18. Footage filmed by Sgt. Noah Masog shows Marines from Force Reconnaissance Company, 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, making the jump as the camera captures the descent from the jumper’s perspective. The seven-minute, 33-second video was released on October 7 and shows the jump from start to finish from the GoPro’s position on the Marine. The Marine Corps said the jumps were conducted to practice airborne crisis response and work with Tunisian forces. The training took place in Bizerte as Phoenix Express 2026, a 12-day maritime exercise led by the U.S. 6th Fleet and hosted by the Tunisian Navy, was concluding. The exercise involved 13 countries and included search-and-rescue training and practice boardings during its at-sea phase.
