The blaze broke out in a ground-floor shop at Klongthom Centre on Worachak Road at around 8:42 p.m. and spread through the ground floor and a mezzanine beneath the parking area, prompting a large response from Bangkok firefighters. Parts of the structure began to collapse during the fire, and several emergency personnel were reported injured as crews worked to bring the blaze under control.
