The Cameroon-flagged dry cargo vessel “NINOVA,” measuring 80 meters, drifted in the Black Sea due to adverse weather before becoming stranded offshore. Authorities said sea and air rescue operations were not possible due to rough conditions, prompting teams to use rope-launching rockets to establish contact with the eight crew members. Coast guard, maritime safety, disaster and emergency teams, gendarmerie and firefighters were deployed to the area as the operation continues.
