VARIOUS DRONE SHOTS OF SNOW-RINGED YEDIGOLLER LAKES, HIKERS AND SURROUNDING MOUNTAINSERZURUM, TÜRKİYE - JULY 13: Snow-ringed alpine lakes are drawing hikers and nature enthusiasts to the Yedigoller Lakes region in Türkiye's eastern Erzurum province, where visitors are camping, hiking and swimming despite snow still covering parts of the landscape in mid-July. Located about 3,200 metres above sea level on Vercenik Mountain, south of the Ovit and Kackar mountain ranges, the area is home to a cluster of glacial lakes formed by melting snow. Snow remains on higher slopes until late July in some areas. Drone footage showed hikers walking along the lakeshore, climbing surrounding ridges and swimming in the icy mountain water against a backdrop of snow-covered peaks. The Yedigoller Lakes region is also known for its endemic flora and diverse wildlife, including wild goats, lynx, wolves and brown bears, making it one of eastern Türkiye's best-known destinations for hiking, camping and nature photography during the summer season.
