While much of the country experiences hot weather, the mountains around Kocbasi Peak remain blanketed in snow, with streams flowing through alpine meadows below. Nomadic families have begun arriving in the highlands with their livestock for the summer grazing season. Local herders said this year's migration was delayed because heavy snowfall and a prolonged winter kept the high pastures inaccessible longer than usual.
