Nepal: Nepal Flood Rescue Team Recovers Gold And Cash From Damaged Home.

Bidur, Nepal - September 06, 2026 APF personnel are seen working beneath a cracked mud-and-concrete slab as they clear debris from a dark cavity inside a damaged home. The footage shows a man in a black “STURDY” T-shirt holding small pieces of gold in his muddy hands while speaking to the camera. The recovered items are placed on a red cloth, including gold chains, bangles, a necklace with a pendant, a pink potli and Nepali rupee notes. Later, a phone, additional notes, coins in a box and a small red pouch are also shown as APF staff and the man gather around the items. The video was filmed in Nuwakot district’s Bidur–1 Dupche after the Bhotekoshi–Trishuli flash floods of August 26, 2026. The clip shows officers recovering household gold, cash and small items from the damaged house and placing them on the cloth while the resident is present. The operation is separate from the Agriculture Development Bank Trishuli-Dhunge locker recovery and from arrests involving looted cash and earrings taken from a flood victim’s body. Nepal Police later warned the public to hand flood-found gold, cash and documents to the nearest police office and not keep or sell them.
