Supporters gathered in front of giant outdoor screens across Rabat, erupting in celebration after the final whistle. Fans waved Moroccan flags, chanted slogans and cheered as the national team secured second place in the group with seven points. Morocco dominated Haiti 4-2 to secure their place in the next round in their final Group C match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Atlanta (Mercedes-Benz) Stadium in the Southern US. After struggling in their first two games in the group, this was the chance Haiti were looking for. In their second appearance, since they first qualified in 1974, Haiti scored their third World Cup goal ever in the 10th minute, as a Haitian cross failed to be intercepted and Lenny Joseph forced Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou to concede an own goal.
