MOROCCAN FANS CELEBRATING AFTER MATCHRABAT, MOROCCO - JUL. 4: Moroccan fans gathered in Rabat to watch their national team's Round of 16 match against Canada on a giant screen before celebrating the Atlas Lions' 3-0 victory and qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarterfinals on Saturday, July 4. Supporters watched the match at Moulay El Hassan Stadium, where they cheered throughout the game before taking to the streets to celebrate Morocco's progression to the last eight. Morocco secured the victory with a dominant second-half display, scoring three times to book their place among the last eight. The Atlas Lions also made history in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar by becoming the first African nation to reach the semifinals before finishing fourth. Morocco will face the winner of Saturday’s Round of 16 clash between France and Paraguay, scheduled later in Philadelphia, in the quarterfinal on July 9.
