Sosa, Japan - October 02, 2026 A stranded whale was found on a beach in Sosa, Chiba Prefecture, on Wednesday, September 30. It was the second whale to wash ashore in the city in less than two weeks. According to city officials, the whale had an apparent wound on its abdomen. Returning it to the sea was considered difficult due to its weakened condition.
