Israeli attack on Gaza kills three-member family, including pregnant woman.

.GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - AUG. 2, 2026: Three members of the same family, including a pregnant woman, were killed in an Israeli attack in Gaza on Sunday, Aug. 2, according to Palestinian sources. The Israeli strike on an apartment in the Al-Sousi Tower near the port area killed three Palestinians – Abdullah Abu Taif, 33, his pregnant wife Abeer Anan, 29, and their 5-year-old son Azzam – a medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital said. The fetus in the pregnant woman’s womb also died. During search efforts among the rubble, a Palestinian man Ahmed Ebu Kas, who was holding the dead fetus, expressed his anguish, asking, “What was this baby’s crime? Where is the world?” Eight Palestinians, including two children, were killed and several others injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip early Sunday, despite Friday's announcement of an agreement to implement the next phase of the ceasefire plan. Israeli violations of the ceasefire since last October have killed 1,222 Palestinians and injured another 4,053, according to figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry. Since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October 2023, it has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and injured over 174,000. The offensive has also destroyed around 90% of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure.
