The ship, Virgo Transport 8, lost contact at approximately 2:00 a.m. local time Sunday after encountering bad weather while traveling from Surabaya to Banjarmasin, leaving at least six dead and 130 missing out of 243 people aboard, according to Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency. Indonesian Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi said the vessel had capsized but had not sunk, as authorities deployed ships, personnel and a helicopter to the area.
