India: US Military Stops And Boards Sanctioned Vessel In Indian Ocean.

India - June 04, 2026 Indian Ocean – The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command carried out a maritime interdiction operation in international waters on June 4, 2026. During the operation, forces conducted an interdiction and right-of-visit boarding of the sanctioned stateless vessel MT DAVINA in the Indian Ocean within the INDOPACOM area of responsibility. According to the statement, global maritime enforcement efforts will continue to disrupt illicit networks and interdict vessels providing material support to Iran wherever they operate. The statement said international waters cannot be used as a shield by sanctioned actors. It added that the Department of War will continue to deny illicit actors and their vessels freedom of maneuver in the maritime domain.
