Bad Schandau, Germany - September 10, 2026 Germany held its annual nationwide "Warntag" (Warning Day) on September 10, testing emergency alert systems to simulate responses to major disasters or the consequences of war. At 11 a.m., the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (BBK) triggered sirens nationwide, with warnings also distributed via the Nina and Katwarn apps, radio, television, cell broadcast, and other channels.
