France - August 24, 2026 Dramatic footage captured by Jeremy Woitt shows heavy hail pounding a backyard in southwest France, with hailstones rapidly accumulating across the gravel during a violent thunderstorm. The Lot-et-Garonne and Landes regions were among the areas hit by severe weather on August 23 and 24, with intense rainfall, powerful wind gusts, hail and frequent lightning reported across the region.
