Berlin, Germany - June 29, 2026 As temperatures climbed to 39.9°C (103.8°F) on June 29, officers from Berlin Police's 1st and 2nd TEE units took part in the Abkühlung110 initiative, using water cannons and other methods to help residents cool down during the extreme heat. According to Berlin Police, officers from the two TEE units worked throughout the exceptionally hot weekend to provide cooling relief for the public. Some volunteers even gave up their free Sunday to support the operation. Police said the officers deserved special thanks for their dedication and willingness to help residents endure the heatwave.
