Demonstrations occurred in several major cities, including Paris, Bordeaux, Nice, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, and Rennes. While the majority of the marches proceeded without major disruption, authorities reported clashes in some urban centers. In Lyon, police arrested four people during a march of approximately 6,500 participants. Security sources stated that "black bloc" protesters targeted law enforcement with fireworks, prompting officers to respond with tear gas. Similar tensions emerged in Nantes, where a portion of the 4,000-strong crowd threw projectiles and fireworks at police. Meanwhile, a demonstration in Marseille drew 3,400 protesters and concluded without incident. Local reports indicate that the nationwide rallies were coordinated alongside major trade unions to highlight labor grievances.
