I would say the old world was built on cement, internet, banking consumer base, and those were the layers in every sector. And now it's completely different. Now it's energy, which is the power, quantum, which will be the speed, AI, which will be the brain, and robotics will be the implementation. Those are not sectors; those are layers in every sector. That is the world that's going to be built on. You look at robotics, 0.2 percent of companies are using robotics right now. I think the projections are 40 percent of corporate companies in 10 years will be using robotics. That's a lot of robotics, that's a lot of money, that's a lot of business for companies. That's opportunity." FILE: China - Date Unknown 4. Various of AI application, smart manufacturing, robots Beijing, China - June 21, 2026 5. Various of exhibition booths, robots UK - Recent 6. SOUNDBITE (English) Jack Perry, Chairman, 48 Group (starting with shot 5/ending with shots 7-8): "Trade in technology is just what it's going to be now. Data governance and the security within it needs to be dialogued and needs to happen between all countries, and isolating China in that just doesn't help anyone, because they're one of the biggest leaders in it. I think European countries have an opportunity to make sure that they're included with China's growth, and not isolated from China and the rest of the world. And we can do that through technology in places like Shenzhen." FILE: China - Date Unknown 7. Various of cityscape Storyline Emerging technologies such as AI, quantum computing and robotics are transforming every sector of the global economy, said Jack Perry, chairman of the UK-China business network 48 Group. The fourth China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) opened in Beijing on Monday with a spotlight on digital technology supply chains, showcasing AI products and real-world applications across multiple sectors. Speaking with China Global Television Network (CGTN) in a recent interview, Perry noted that new technologies such as AI and robotics are creating new business opportunities across every industry. "Because the world's changing, it's changing dramatically. I would say the old world was built on cement, internet, banking consumer base, and those were the layers in every sector. And now it's completely different. Now it's energy, which is the power, quantum, which will be the speed, AI, which will be the brain, and robotics will be the implementation. I think the projections are 40 percent of corporate companies in 10 years will be using robotics. That's a lot of robotics, that's a lot of money, that's a lot of business for companies. That's opportunity," he said. Perry also said European companies can benefit from deeper engagement with China's technological development. "Trade in technology is just what it's going to be now. Data governance and the security within it needs to be dialogued and needs to happen between all countries, and isolating China in that just doesn't help anyone, because they're one of the biggest leaders in it.
