VARIOUS OF TATY ALMEIDA'S FUNERAL CEREMONYBUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA - JUNE 15: Family members, human rights activists, political leaders and supporters gathered in Buenos Aires on Monday, June 15, for the funeral of Argentine human rights advocate and Madres de Plaza de Mayo Linea Fundadora President Taty Almeida. The ceremony was held at the FOETRA union headquarters, where mourners paid their final respects to Almeida, one of Argentina's most prominent human rights figures. Almeida died at the age of 95 after spending more than five decades campaigning for memory, truth and justice following the disappearance of her son, Alejandro Almeida, in 1975. Taty Almeida became a symbol of Argentina's human rights movement and remained an influential voice in the country's search for accountability and justice until her death.
