All right let get into it First let talk about what a 360 dunk is So a 360 is when you take off spin about 360 degrees a full circle So from where you take off to where you finish give or take honestly 20 degrees and finish the dunk Most people consider this a
1:15
360 dunk because I'm starting on the left side, spin around and finish it. The key to doing the
1:22
360 dunk is the takeoff. Now, with any dump, once you leave the ground, there is nothing you can do
1:30
to increase your trajectory, increase your spin. There's nothing much you can do once you take off
1:38
the ground. When you take off the ground, the force that you apply to the ground is all that you're
1:43
going to get to do your trick. So you need to make sure that the takeoff is in the right spot. Now
1:48
somebody just starting off doing a 360 dunk, I recommend making sure
1:52
you're taking out right under the rim. So when you jump into the air and you're jumping straight up in the air to maximize
1:59
you know your height to get the dunk down that you finishing right at the rim So if you watching my dunk as I approaching I plant left foot then right foot right under the rim drive the ball up into the air drive tall
2:12
and finish right at the rim. So you need to make sure that your takeoff is at the right spot
2:18
and then I would work my way back three to four steps to get the right approach and make sure that you're taking off at the right spot
2:25
Now with this two foot takeoff, you want to make sure as you're planting that left foot in
2:29
and if you're doing it from the other side, it would be the right foot. When the other foot is coming around, you start to whip your body
2:36
The whip is the key to getting that 360 or any spin. It's building that, you know, momentum to get your body around as you're going up
2:47
So you're planting down and as you're planting that left foot down, you want to start twisting and almost pivot
2:52
So when you're planting around, you're going to plant the right foot down, plant it, get tall and finish it strong
2:59
All right, and for the one foot, the concept still applies. You want to make sure that you planting right under the rim getting tall and finishing at the rim So work backwards from that takeoff point of where you want to take off With the one foot takeoff I would give myself a little bit more distance because you do have to
3:18
travel a little bit. So you're going to be a little bit further out, but that's okay
3:22
Make sure when you guys are going for the takeoff at the last second because you don't get
3:27
as much torque or pivot, you're turning that foot at the last second
3:32
So you're turning it. You're going to stay on that foot. And you see, when I take off, I twist my foot to kind of get that spin going
3:39
You want to give yourself some time to get some twisting motion so you can take off
3:45
and start the spin in the air and just finish right at the rim
