One Torch That Does It All - The OrcaTorch ZD710 MK2
Oct 25, 2026
Can one dive torch really replace both a narrow signalling light and a wide-beam video light?
In this review, I take a close look at the *OrcaTorch ZD710 MK2*, a rechargeable dive torch with an adjustable beam that goes from a super-tight 4° spot to a wide 72° flood.
But this isn't just a look at the manufacturer's specifications.
My friend Henry Castellanos (@Señorscuba) used the ZD710 MK2 on our expedition to *HMHS Britannic at around 120 metres*, and also on the *SS Afric at 78 metres* in the English Channel. I've used it on Afric myself and on several other deep wreck dives beyond 80 metres.
So we've had a chance to see how it performs during some serious technical diving.
In this video, I cover:
🔦 The adjustable 4° to 72° beam and why it's useful underwater
🤿 Signalling, wreck exploration and video lighting
👍 The optional soft Goodman handle, including scooter diving
🔋 Brightness settings, battery life and USB-C charging
🌊 Build quality and the 150-metre depth rating
📦 What's included in the box
⚖️ The limitations, including how it compares with my more powerful canister light
The ZD710 MK2 offers 150, 420 and 880 lumen settings, plus a temporary 1,500 lumen Turbo mode.
Henry likes it enough to use it as his primary dive torch. But would I replace my canister light with one?
Watch the review to find out.
