Every NBA Team’s Last 1st Overall Pick…

Alright, so we got every NBA team's last first overall pick

And of course, there are a few teams that have never picked first overall, including the Jazz, which is that foreshadowing for this year

As a Wizards fan, I hope not. And the famous story with the Grizzlies, of course

is that they were this close to LeBron James in 2003, but they got the second pick and had to trade to the Pistons

It's kind of crazy that the Thunder have never picked first overall, despite having so many homegrown stars

Also, not to be that guy, but it is interesting how often the hometown kid ends up going first overall to the hometown team

including, of course, LeBron before Andrew Wiggins. But again, I'm not that guy

If we're going to go there, of course, I got to bring up the frozen envelope with the Knicks and Patrick Ewing

And then I'll be honest, I had to look up who Charlie Sher was for the Celtics

It turns out he was the number one overall pick in 1950, but he never actually signed with the Celtics

So they ended up trading his draft rights for future Celtics Hall of Famer Bill Sharman
