Two Days Before My Wedding His Mother Moved In

Two days before our wedding, my mother-in-law showed up unannounced with four suitcases and moved herself into our guest room — "I'm moving in with you, son. I've already decided." My fiance carried her bags up the stairs smiling while I watched from the foyer of the house everyone believed HE bought. She had no idea what I do for a living, or whose name is the only one on that deed. The note I left by the coffee maker the next morning ended far more than a wedding.
