hypothermia the Furnace Creek weather

station recorded a scorching 119° fhe

that afternoon highlighting the severe

conditions superintendent Mike Reynolds

emphasized the dangers of extreme heat

stating symptoms of overheating can

include confusion irritability and lack

of coordination this tragic event serves
