Halloween. It is often said that it is a "real" American party, but nothing could be further from the truth. Its origins can be traced back to the Celts. In America, this festival was only really celebrated when the Irish and Scottish immigrants moved in that direction. Over the centuries, many peoples have given their twists and additions to this festival. Now we know it mainly from the hollowed-out pumpkins and children who go "trick or treat" at the door.
