Talybont Reservoir Walk - Idyllic and Breathtaking

Music: https://www.bensound.com Trail Guide: https://roamingspices.com/talybont-reservoir-walk/ Talybont Reservoir Walk Description Enjoy the 6.84 miles (11 km) Talybont Reservoir Walk starting from the small parking area on the west side of the reservoir. Start the walk by crossing a few fields parallel with the reservoir before linking up with a private drive that leads you to the northern end of the reservoir. Cross the reservoir's northern end via the small road, ensuring that you stop to take in the wonderful views along the way. Then take the road down the eastern side, which turns into a dirt track after approximately 700 metres. The trail then veers left and ascends gradually through Talybont Forest along a rocky path. Along the way, you will get to enjoy fantastic views across the reservoir and the surrounding hills. Eventually, the trail levels out at around 400 metres above sea level. The trail leading back towards the valley is fairly gentle and it is along this stretch that you really get to witness the best views of the entire walk. Once back in the valley, you cross the Caerfanell (river) via a footbridge before turning right on the small country road. After approximately 300 metres, you take the trail on the left that leads up through the woods, joining a well-made gravel track. You turn right and follow this trail for around 3 km, ultimately leading you back to the gate directly across the road from where you have parked. The Talybont Reservoir walk is complete!
