Hello this is a very quick look at the Kotoko massage gun, kindly sent to me for review
0:13
This is the first time I've tried one of these. It comes with a really nice case, so it's very portable
0:20
Inside the case you'll find the set of instructions which show you later
0:25
a range of different massage heads for different parts of the body
0:29
the main gun itself, which looks a little bit like a hair dryer, and a USB Type C cable for charging
0:34
and they charge very quickly. As well as the main ball adapter, there's a range of different massage heads
0:39
and they look a little bit like torture devices, but I can assure you they're not painful to use
0:44
To explain what each of these does, you get a booklet which shows you each of the devices
0:50
and ways should use them on different parts of the body. There's also a booklet showing you
0:54
the different pressure points that you should be using the different heads on
0:59
and that's done both pictorially and there's some written instructions on each section
1:04
making it super clear how and where to use this. The shape and design of this means you can actually use this
1:09
on your own back without assistance so you can just reach around and place it on your back
1:15
or on your shoulders although it is much easier to get someone else to do this for you
1:19
On the bottom of the unit is the Type C charging port there's also an on-off switch to power this on or off
1:25
that will turn on the main display at the back which shows you the current unit charge level and it's got a touch screen, just tap that and it's got some different levels of vibration
1:37
So you just keep tapping and that will go through the different levels until eventually it goes back to the off mode It really hard to show you the different levels in action because it moves so quickly So I did a few slow shots but again this doesn really do justice The faster the
1:52
speed, the quicker you're getting hit. So there is a very noticeable difference when you're using
1:57
different levels on different parts of your body. In order to get some extra feedback, I took this to a
2:03
local Pilates class and it went down really well. People there with various problems who just
2:09
done a class to help relieve back pressure. Really loved the sensation. and I even asked the Pilates instructor, Donna Finney
2:16
who's a YouTuber as well as a Plata instructor, what she made of it
2:20
This is good. It's good, though. I like how lightweight it is because the other thing is
2:29
mine, you couldn't really take it on your case on holiday because it doesn't weigh you so much
2:34
So it gained a big thumbs up all around. People liked the experience
2:37
They liked a number of heads. They liked that it was very low cost. and they like that it was very lightweight
2:42
compared to some other models. The one thing I've struggled with is actually just changing the head
2:47
because sometimes the grip in this thing is so firm it's very difficult to get them out
2:52
and you're not supposed to twist it around. You naturally want to twist and pull, twist and pull
2:56
but you're not supposed to do that, supposed to just pull straight out. Eventually you can get it out
3:00
and some are easier to pull out than others but as you can see here, I did struggle a little bit
3:05
with getting this out and then the other one just goes straight in, no problem
3:10
As Donna said, one real benefit for this is that if you are someone who's going to do events
3:15
you may be traveling to do marathons or high rocks or whatever, this is super portable and a lot more portable than other models on the market that Donner's tried
3:24
Everything just slips back in the case, nice and easy, and then you can pop that in your bag
