This is the time of the year when most homesteading activity takes place in the kitchen. Question For Today’s Podcast Episode: Edward asks: What is your take on clearing wooded land to use for livestock? Our 38 acres is about 3 acres of nice lawn around the house, and 35 acres of forest. About 2/3 of the 35 acres is thicker older growth, which I don't plan to do much of anything with other than keep clear of deadfall...but the other 1/3 (maybe 10 acres total) is forest that had been previously logged, and so its thick with low growth/saplings etc. I'd love to start slowly opening some of that up to use for more livestock in the future.
