Hi, it's Ray Chalene from Pro Shaper Sheet Metal in Charlton, Massachusetts
0:04
And what you're looking at right here is a 550 Porsche Spyder and also a 300s Maserati
0:11
These are bucks wire form bucks that two of my employees have made
0:16
I trained them to in the process and I think they've done a pretty nice job and
0:24
You can see it's pretty intricate. There's literally hundreds and hundreds of wires that have to be bent
0:29
This one here. We had a fiberglass body that had a lot of imperfections
0:34
but with between the fiberglass body and a Lot of pictures we were able to come up with the shape
0:42
Determined all the dimensions from factory dimensions wheelbase and everything and this is
0:48
One of the things I like to teach also in my class is how you can do the same process
0:54
there's a 300s Maserati as I said and They made many versions of this a long nose and a short nose early version late version and
1:03
Just about every one they made and there's very small numbers. I think it's probably less than 30 all total
1:09
Were made most of them are all right hand drive if not all of them we made it a left hand drive and I kind of idealized it a little bit the stuff that I like the best a little bit longer nose
1:21
It's going to have these little scallops over here. It has an exhaust pipe so outside exhaust over here and
1:29
This is quarter inch hot roll wire all TIG welded together and
1:34
Like I said my employees did this pretty much on their own. I guided them a little bit
1:38
Showed them the process and it's taken a while. It's been about two months to get these both done
1:44
They still need a little tuning here and there we've done with one of my coach building classes, I think the
1:52
February class we've made a lot of the panels in the back for the 550 and
1:57
In the March class we made some of the panels on the Maserati
2:01
And these are all preliminary panels as I've explained in some of my earlier videos
2:05
We're doing these bodies all in aluminum ultimately but we like to do with the class is to do them in 20 gauge steel as
2:14
test panels to Show the process of how to make the panels and get them all fit and everything and then we'll idealize those panels
2:23
I have two classes the four class four coach building class which is 40 hours of instruction all total for 10 days and I also have the three finishing advanced class and
2:38
In the finishing advanced class you'll take panels that have made at the four-day class and
2:44
Tune them a little bit put edging on them the welding and you can see in the background
2:50
those are some of the earlier projects and we started tuning some of those projects that's the
2:55
Virgil Exner 1948 Studebaker future car and as a scaled Emil car racer back there and also a hot rod project that I designed
3:06
so we've got five projects now for the students to work on and
3:12
Then my classes I like to put people in teams So you can come as buddies two or three people at a time and work together
3:19
Or you can buddy up with somebody here and that works really good. It reinforces each other
3:25
When you're when you're working on the project So right now I have a spring special on where you get both classes for the price of the one class
3:35
It's a twenty five hundred dollar value for fifteen hundred dollars, and I'm going to limit it
3:40
To the first 20 people that sign up for it There still some room There plenty of room in the Months that are available still on the schedule the schedules on my website pro shaper
3:52
And I'm in Charlton, Massachusetts, which is about one hour from Boston
3:56
The airports are readily available at Boston Logan Airport or the Hartford
4:02
Bradley International both about an hour away. There's like 20 motels in the area all this information is in
4:10
on the the Write up on my website when you click on the various classes all that information is there
4:18

4:34
good progress on all of them Eventually these will all become finished cars all in aluminum within a structure
4:42

4:50
