Nandina domestica: Heavenly Bamboo

One of my favorite shrubs is Heavenly Bamboo. I see this plant thrive both in East Coast and PNW gardens. It sports wonderful evergreen foliage that changes color in the autumn and then in winter come the berries. And these berries are formed in beautiful clusters that adorn the plant all winter long. Although it may be considered invasive in some midwestern climates, if you are interested in adding a wonderful shrub to your borders, definitely consider the Heavenly Bamboo.
