GERANIUM: How to Overwinter, Grow as a Houseplant, & Propagate (Pelargonium)
Sep 30, 2026
Geranium, or more specifically Pelargonium, is a favorite worldwide for its easy going nature and beautiful blooms. But if you live where there are cold winters, what is the best thing to do with your plants when those nights start to get cold? Do you simply trash your plants and start over the following year? That can get very expensive over times, not to mention we all start to build relationships with our plants as we grow them.
So in this video I demonstrate some of my top tips for growing Geranium inside your home as an indoor plant, which also happens to be one of my favorite ways to overwinter them. I also demonstrate how to take cuttings and propagate your plants so you can create more of your favorite geranium plants. It is also a great backup method to ensure your plant material makes it from one season to the next. #geranium #pelargonium #houseplant
