Dividing BANANA PLANTS: How to Propagate Pups to Make New Plants (Musa spp.)

I love growing Banana plants. They're fast growers, very low maintenance, and they create a stunning energy both when grown as a houseplant or as an outdoor plant in the garden. The longer you grow your Banana Plant you will notice little baby plants start emerging from the soil. We call these pups. Over time Banana plants will create cute little patches of plants. And it's up to you whether you want to leave them as a colony, or divide them out and create brand new plants. In this video I show how to divide out a pup to create a new plant.
